In the Final Round (Tournament Of Champions) held on August 2 , 2011 at Yale University (USA), she excellently brought home 1 gold medal and 5 silver medals . Before that, in the Regional Round held in Ho Chi Minh City, she also won 3 gold medals , 3 silver medals , then 3 gold medals , 2 silver medals at the Global Round in Bangkok (Thailand).

Duy Bao brought home a total of 17 medals from the 2023 World Scholar's Cup competition.

"Although I expected to have an achievement, when my name was called, I was surprised. I felt very happy and proud because all my efforts had paid off," Duy Bao recalled.

Duy Bao said that the competition requires candidates not only to have a diverse knowledge base in many fields but also to have methods of research, synthesis, summarization of information, reasoning, debate, and essay writing. Before that, debate was still a fairly new field, but with a good foundation in English, especially speaking skills thanks to studying in an international environment from a young age, he quickly improved through each round of the competition.
