In the era of strong digitalization, cross-border payments are not only a trend, but have become an essential element for businesses. The cooperation between MSB and 9Pay aims to meet the increasing demand for fast, efficient and transparent payment services, aiming to create a smart and sustainable payment ecosystem.

According to GlobalData’s Q2/2024 survey, cross-border payments are becoming an important trend in the global economy. Specifically, 63% of global consumers have used real-time cross-border payments (RTP) to send money to family and friends, while 51% have used RTP to pay for goods and services.

“Real-time payments have become popular in domestic payment services due to their speed, 24/7 availability, reduced transaction costs and easier liquidity management for businesses,” said Benjamin Hatton, banking and payments analyst at GlobalData.

At the same time, the two sides are committed to promoting their strengths to build a safe, fast and efficient payment system, especially providing maximum support for global payment solution providers, international remittance service providers and corporate customers worldwide. This cooperation does not only stop at developing payment solutions but also aims to create a smart and sustainable payment ecosystem.

One of the highlights of the cooperation between MSB and 9Pay is that the two parties do not simply provide conventional payment solutions but also focus on building and developing cross-border payment flows, especially money transfer and receipt solutions for import-export businesses, e-commerce businesses and companies that need to make payments with foreign partners. This helps payment service providers and international businesses to conduct transactions in Vietnam legally and transparently.

Financial services provided by both parties will facilitate international trade transactions while promoting domestic economic development.

With this expansion of cooperation, MSB not only provides traditional financial services based on a solid foundation but also proactively promotes innovative payment solutions on digital platforms, helping customers easily connect with global partners.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, a representative of MSB affirmed: “With this cooperation agreement, MSB and 9Pay aim to become strategic partners providing comprehensive payment solutions in Vietnam and the region, supporting business development, minimizing payment risks and optimizing international financial transaction processes.”
