Some roads in Vinh city are degraded and pose potential traffic safety risks.

Mr. Dang Hieu Lam - Chairman of Cua Nam Ward People's Committee said: Pham Hong Thai Street in Cua Nam Ward is the first section of Provincial Road 558, connecting Vinh City with Hung Nguyen District, managed by the Department of Transport. This road has a high traffic density, near Cua Tien 1 Bridge, there is about 150 meters of degraded roadway. For many years, the ward has petitioned the competent authority to invest and repair, but so far it has not been resolved. Photo: Van Truong

Le Nin Avenue also has some sections of the roadway and sidewalks with peeling asphalt, creating potholes that could potentially cause traffic accidents. Mr. Nguyen Viet Duc - Head of Vinh City Urban Management Department said: The city has also inspected and reviewed damaged roads and included them in the public investment portfolio and has plans to upgrade and repair them in the near future.
