Two weeks ago, the Xiaomi MIX Flip 2 appeared on the EEC certification platform. Later, leaker Digital Chat Station confirmed that the model will launch in the first half of this year with the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, promising to bring excellent performance to users.
Recently, leaker @That_Kartikey revealed that Xiaomi's upcoming vertically folding smartphone will have a larger battery capacity of around 5,600 to 5,700 mAh - this is a notable improvement over the 4,780 mAh battery that powers the MIX Flip. In addition, the size and thickness of this smartphone will not be increased.
The source revealed that Xiaomi seems to be trying to fit this large battery into a thinner body. MIX Flip 2 is even lighter than the first generation model (Xiaomi MIX Flip) with a body that is 7.6mm thick and weighs 190g).
If the MIX Flip is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, Leaker Digital Chat Station revealed that the successor model will use the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. This could be the only vertical folding screen smartphone equipped with this chip, after launch the phone can compete directly with the Z Flip7.
Another post by this leaker on Weibo shared: MIX Flip 2 will be equipped with wireless charging, a feature that was not available in the first generation. The device is expected to have an IPX8 rating for water resistance, a thinner and more flexible body than its predecessor.
