Korea is a potential market with many sustainable cooperation values - the past 31 years have been a journey of continuous growth in CMC Group's strategy to reach out to the world. Up to now, can you share the changes and growth of CMC over the past time? CMC has been established for 31 years and we have about 10 member units with 4 strategic business segments including: Digital Infrastructure, Solutions and Technology, International Business and Training and Research and Development. Currently, CMC has more than 5,000 employees and we have achieved the scale of a regional company with sales and company value of about 400 million USD. We aim to turn CMC into a global digital corporation with a scale of billions of dollars and a staff of about 15,000 employees by 2028. Over the past 31 years, CMC has been able to own more than 20 core technologies, including the 12th-ranked FaceID technology in the world according to the ranking of the US National Institute of Standards and Technology - NIST, meeting the cooperation needs of thousands of partners and customers. This is the pride of CMC people. CMC Group is honored to have been present and cooperated with more than 30 countries in the world, spanning continents from Asia - Pacific to Europe and America, including long-standing markets such as Japan or Korea. In particular, with CMC Japan, we have been bringing CMC's technological capabilities to the world market with many creative and innovative technological values. - When you first launched CMC Japan, what were your goals and have those goals come true to date? Remembering the first day of establishment of CMC Japan in 2017 with only more than 50 employees, up to now we have developed nearly 1,000 high-quality staff serving the Japanese market. CMC has become the leading ITO company of Vietnam in Japan. In the near future, CMC will become a member of Keidaren (Japan Economic Organization Federation). In the past 6 years, CMC Japan has successfully completed all plans and targets in the Japanese market, including sales and personnel targets. Currently, we have large customers in the Top 500 largest enterprises in the world such as Honda. CMC currently owns more than 20 core technologies, including Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, Voice Processing... which are ranked high in the world... CMC cooperates in consulting and providing digital transformation solutions for Honda, supporting the design and manufacturing process more intelligently with the new technologies we own. Personally, I think that our journey with CMC Japan is just beginning and there are still many opportunities and challenges ahead for CMC to move forward and conquer. - So what about Korea, what prospects has CMC seen in this market? CMC has had partnerships with Korean partners for 20 years, but mainly the Korean market in Vietnam, that is, providing services for Korean partners in Vietnam. Like Japan, Korea is a very developed country in Northeast Asia, they are in need of high-quality human resources in IT. Meanwhile, Vietnam is a country with a young population and an abundant IT workforce. This is an important piece that creates a foundation for compensation and development for cooperation in the Korean market. On the other hand, Korea is one of Vietnam's comprehensive partners. Korea has a culture and cultural similarities quite deep with Vietnam. Importantly, CMC's strategic partners and friends who have been in Korea for more than 2 decades are valuable assets for CMC. In particular, we must mention the strategic partner Samsung SDS. With the above three factors, CMC considers Korea a potential market with many sustainable cooperation values. CMC competes by creating value for customers - what kind of cooperative relationship does CMC currently have with Korean companies? Could you please share some of CMC's partners and the current status of cooperation? In fact, we identify Korea and Japan as strategic markets, because in the 31-year history of CMC, we have had more than 20 years of cooperation with Korean and Japanese partners. We are partners of many large Korean technology companies and corporations such as Samsung SDS, SK Telecom (telecommunications), CJ Olive Network (IT), Kookmin Bank (Bank), GS Retail (retail), LGU+, SK Telink, Huyndai IT, ... with hundreds of large projects. Besides, we are also a strategic partner in the field of Technology - Telecommunications of Korea, providing connection solutions for Korean partners and customers around the world. Together, we provide solutions and connections for customers around the world, from Korea to Vietnam, India, Europe ... Notably, 5 years ago, Samsung SDS signed a strategic investment in CMC and became a major strategic shareholder. - Could you tell us more about the current relationship between SDS and CMC? What achievements have the two sides achieved in the past 5 years? It can be said that Samsung SDS is a major customer, a strategic partner of ours. First, with Samsung SDS, we have cooperation strategies with them to provide products and services for Samsung SDS itself. We have participated in many projects with Samsung SDS, together implementing projects to provide services to customers, even joining hands to compete with other competitors. This cooperation has been taking place not only in Vietnam or Singapore but also in Korea... In August this year, we celebrated 5 years of strategic cooperation between the two sides. Over the past 5 years, the two sides have achieved positive results despite facing many market fluctuations such as the Covid-19 pandemic, economic recession, etc. Firstly, the average growth rate is still 15%/year - this is quite an impressive number. Secondly, over the past 5 years, CMC's capitalization has tripled. In the current cooperation, CMC is the main unit for Samsung SDS's GDC service, and Samsung SDS is an important partner of CMC in providing solutions for smart factories, information security, etc. Basically, we have completed the goals set out in the past 5 years between the two sides.

- With the current growth rate and market prospects, what are CMC's short-term and long-term goals? In the short term, CMC will focus on its strong products and services as well as traditional partners, such as Samsung SDS. At the same time, we will continue to expand CMC's presence in the Korean market from now until 2028. On May 8, we officially launched CMC Korea, including the opening of an office and the launch of the company's headquarters in Seoul. CMC Korea will be a Korean company. That means we will invest and become a Korean company, bringing values to contribute to the prosperous development of Korea as well as Vietnam. Currently, CMC has about 100 - 200 people working in the Korean market. The plan is to reach 2,000 - 3,000 employees by 2028. - Currently, there are many Korean companies operating in the same field as CMC, they are all competitors that are developing very strongly, with large investments. In your opinion, what is CMC's competitive advantage compared to these companies? First of all, CMC never builds its corporate strategy based on price competition, low cost. Second, in the international market competition strategy, CMC builds capacity by creating service value in terms of technology that it can provide to customers. We do not want to use the word "sell" but we want to be a unit providing high-quality technology services and products that CMC owns. For example, the GDC (Global Delivery Center) model is CMC's global service provision model for partners and customers. Note that currently the service quality of CMC - of Vietnam - is being proven to be better, not cheaper, but in terms of professionalism, higher quality of service. Therefore, if we talk about human resources simply in terms of basic skills such as Java, .Net, about days/person and then price, then there is actually no competitive value compared to other competitors other than low price and that is a dead end. We compete by creating value for customers based on the technological capabilities and experience we have accumulated. Our strategy is that although the market is always competitive, in reality CMC cooperates with almost all technology partners in Korea. There are times when we are their competitors, but still in the spirit of cooperation. Because in reality, no company owns all technological capabilities, every company has the need to cooperate and connect with each other. That is why CMC steps out into the world with the mindset of a Vietnamese people passionate about connecting and sharing success together.

- What services does CMC plan to provide and is there a general principle for cooperation with new partners? A lot. For Korean companies in Vietnam, we provide them with IT solutions, smart factory management solutions, information security system solutions; infrastructure includes Cloud infrastructure, Data Center infrastructure, infrastructure connecting their information system network between Vietnam and other countries... For example, with Samsung, we are cooperating in many different areas: in addition to providing GDC centers to help Samsung provide services globally. The entire connection problem including from Vietnam to India, Vietnam to the US... is provided by CMC itself. Similar to other Korean customers investing in Vietnam, we have been providing such services. CMC has the desire and intention to cooperate with Korean IT partners to serve Korea's IT needs. I know that the demand for the Korean IT market is very diverse and open. Currently, we have partners implementing in many different fields. These include in the fields of finance, banking, insurance, systems providing for factories (smart factory solutions), or AI, Cloud, Security solutions... As for the market, CMC will prioritize the fields: Automotive, Finance - Banking, SME... - The parent company is a "giant" in the technology and telecommunications industry of Vietnam, what advantages does it bring to CMC Global when "marching" abroad, specifically to Korea? After more than 31 years of development, we own more than 20 core technology platforms that meet the cooperation needs of thousands of partners and customers around the world. This is the pride of CMC people. And it is also a favorable platform for CMC Global when going out into the world. That means we will invest so that CMC Korea can become a Korean company, bringing values that contribute to the prosperous development of Korea. For the past 800 years, Vietnam and Korea have established a close relationship. Mr. Ly Long Tuong and the royal family of the Ly Dynasty of Vietnam came to Korea to establish and build, contributing to the development of your country. I hope that tradition will be continued by CMC so that we can develop a more sustainable relationship, contributing to the development of Korea.
