On September 19, leaders of Nam Tra My district, Quang Nam province quickly informed about landslides in the area, urgently evacuating people at night.
Accordingly, due to the influence of a tropical depression, from September 18 to the early morning of September 19, the rain situation in the area became more severe, with heavy to very heavy rain in many areas. Currently, many landslides have appeared in the area, and more than 100 people have been evacuated to safety.

In the mountainous district of Nam Tra My, Quang Nam province, 17 houses were affected by heavy rain, including 8 houses with landslides and 9 houses with cracked floors. Immediately after discovering the safety of the houses and residents, on the night of September 18, communes in Nam Tra My evacuated 51 households and 164 people in residential areas at high risk of landslides to safe shelters.
Heavy rains have caused landslides on many roads leading to communes and villages in the mountainous district of Nam Tra My, including landslides on the road from Tra Tap Commune People's Committee to Rang Chuoi Village, Village 1, Tra Tap, causing traffic congestion. In particular, this landslide has drifted close to Lang Luong Village, threatening 22 households/95 people in this village.

The DH5 route to Tra Van has 2 landslides, in the area of Ong Sinh village and Ong Bich village, the positive slope of the road has collapsed, causing rocks and soil to flow onto the road, only motorbikes can pass, cars cannot pass. The route in Tra Don commune has 5 landslides, of which 2 large landslides have made it impossible for vehicles to pass, 3 small landslides have been repaired by local people to allow normal travel. In addition, heavy rain also caused landslides on the negative slope of the DH3, Tra Cang, DH1 Tra Don - Tra Leng roads.

In addition, the leaders of Nam Tra My district also informed that heavy rains had affected a number of schools, including 3 schools such as the positive slope behind Rang Chuoi school in village 1, Tra Tap commune, which was eroded, with soil falling in patches, and water from outside even flooding into classrooms. Tong Pua school and Lang Loan school in village 3, Tra Cang had landslides behind them, which initially affected the walls.
