The TP-150 aircraft is a product of cooperation between Vietnam and Italy, displayed at the 2nd International Defense Exhibition in Vietnam. The TP-150 will serve military pilot training and patrol, meeting high technical standards in the aviation field. Made entirely of aluminum alloy and equipped with a retractable landing gear system, the aircraft is capable of taking off and landing on a variety of runway surfaces. The overload coefficient of +6/-3G allows the TP-150 to perform aerobatics and fly in formation. A few days ago, Flying Legend - an Italian aircraft manufacturer - announced: "After 1 year of cooperation agreements with partners in Vietnam, with a lot of effort, we started to produce aircraft and put the TP-150 military training aircraft on display at the Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2024 taking place in Hanoi. We are proud to be here and introduce the first aircraft company that can manufacture aircraft in Vietnam." TP-150 has an empty weight of 430kg, a ceiling height of 6,400m, and a maximum flight speed of nearly 300km/h. The cockpit system is designed with 2 seats, allowing luggage up to 34kg, suitable for military pilot training. Rotax 915iS - 150HP engine manufactured in the United States, has optimal fuel consumption, ensuring long-range, high-ceiling flight missions.
TP-150 can integrate systems such as: Emergency parachute, auxiliary fuel tank and surveillance patrol system (EO/IR and SAR radar). TP-150 is manufactured based on Italian technology and design, Flying Legend's announcement to start producing aircraft in Vietnam and launching this aircraft model is considered an important milestone, creating a premise for the development of Vietnam's aviation industry, while demonstrating the extensive cooperation between domestic and international enterprises. Mr. Nguyen Hoai Nam - Technical Director of Flying Legend Vietnam Company - said that since 2023, he and a group of friends who are also aviation engineers have come up with the idea of producing aircraft in Vietnam. "We are very lucky to have found a partner from Italy who is willing to transfer technology and produce aircraft in Vietnam. This is the first basis for the formation of Flying Legend Vietnam as well as the TP-150 aircraft," Mr. Nam shared. Also according to the Technical Director of Flying Legend Vietnam Company, after being manufactured, the TP-150 will become a commercial product and will be sold in some countries such as Dominica, South America and Africa. At the Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2024, there will be 242 domestic and international units and enterprises confirming their participation in displaying products. According to the latest announcement from the organizing committee of the Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2024, people can visit the exhibition from 9:00 a.m. on December 21, earlier than the original schedule of 1:30 p.m.
