Feast your eyes on the "twin dragons" showdown between two superpowers in the world's fireworks industry

On the evening of June 29, the fourth competition night of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival - DIFF 2024, both China and Finland demonstrated the strength of two superpowers in the world's fireworks industry, creating a light show that was considered the "early finale" of this year's DIFF.

With the theme “Made of Fairy Tales”, the music performance space of the 4th competition night led 10,000 spectators into a magical fairy tale world, where Chinese and Finnish fireworks warriors took turns taking the audience from one surprise to another, with an unprecedented elaborate fireworks party spectacularly displayed in the Da Nang night sky.

The art performance welcoming the fireworks display of the Finnish team took visitors into the fairytale space of a full moon night, listening to the folk tale of Uncle Cuoi - Sister Hang which has become a childhood memory of many people; and immersing them in the magical world of "Beauty and the Beast" - a soundtrack song from one of Disney's best animated films of all time. Immediately after, the Mashup "No one else but you - I can't escape" painted a beautiful winter in Finland, with colorful wooden villages, soft white snow and majestic natural scenery, taking visitors into a dreamy fairy tale...

The Finnish team “burned up” the Da Nang night with an outstanding fireworks display from 10,000 colorful fireworks with continuously changing effects on the background of exciting Rock music, making thousands of spectators unable to stop dancing to the rhythm of music and light.

In the sky, thousands of fireworks burst out as if to “burn” the summer night of Da Nang, with countless unique effects and shapes. The symphony of fireworks and music from the team took the audience through many emotions, sometimes calm and drifting, sometimes boiling and intense.

The art performance before the fireworks display by the Chinese team opened with "Phong Vu" - a dance performance imbued with traditional Chinese cultural identity. The Liuyang Jingduan New-art Display Co team seemed to bring visitors back to ancient China amidst the fluffy clouds that resembled a fairyland.

Liuyang Jingduan New-art Display Co. is from Liuyang Province – a place with a long tradition in the world fireworks industry and has affirmed its name with many international awards in Russia, Thailand, China. Coming to DIFF for the first time, the Chinese team brought a performance called “Summer Song” which was completely designed with lighting materials inspired by the art of “traditional hand embroidery”, weaving the magical colors of China with many breathtaking scenes.

The 20-minute performance by Liuyang Jingduan New-art Display Co. truly showed how powerful the Chinese fireworks industry is. With 4,000 fireworks of different types compared to other teams, especially using 3-4-5 inch fireworks and single fireworks, the Chinese team painted a magical picture of light in the sky of Da Nang.

With many unique and brilliant colors, along with countless impressive shapes and effects, the Chinese team seemed to carve a forest of light into the sky of Da Nang, where low-level fireworks reminded people of the beauty of flower gardens, poetic butterflies in the middle of a summer night, and high-altitude fireworks created a vibrant, vibrant summer of youth. The music was an excellent highlight for the Chinese team's performance - a kind of music that had never been seen at DIFF before. The melodious melodies of the four pieces of music depicting thousands of years of Chinese music were in perfect harmony with the four parts of the light show, creating a beautiful ink painting like a fairyland and the rich traditional culture of the billion-people country.

“The Chinese performance was spectacular, safe and very synchronized. The team sang a summer song, evoked strong emotions and painted truly magical moments,” said Nadia Shakira, director of consulting firm Global 2000.

The confrontation between China and Finland ended the DIFF 2024 qualifying round in a most satisfying way, and became one of the most worth-watching competition nights in many DIFF seasons. Immediately after the competition night, on the morning of June 30, the Organizing Committee will announce the identities of the two best fireworks teams that will make it to the final night taking place on the evening of July 13. The final night will be broadcast live at 8:10 p.m. on July 13 on VTV1.
