On the night of August 3, at Hon Tre Island, Nha Trang City (Khanh Hoa), the closing night of the Nha Trang International Light Bay Festival 2024 took place with the theme "Convergence of Wonders".
On the closing night, there was a light show using drones by two teams, France and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), combined with a special art program with the participation of famous Vietnamese singers, creating a magnificent and vibrant scene.
Nicknamed “sky artists”, 1,000 drones create impressive 3D drones combined with pyrotechnics, the French team brings images of wonders built by humans thousands of years ago such as the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, the Great Pyramid of Giza, the Sphinx, the Lighthouse of the ancient world Alexandria, the Acropolis - Athens (Greece), the Great Wall, the Roman Colosseum... and the world-famous natural wonder and pride of the Vietnamese people - Ha Long Bay.
Different from the performance of the French team, the UAE team, nicknamed "light wizards", shone brightly in the majestic sky of Nha Trang pearl bay, with light magic that left a strong impression on the audience.
The drones used by the UAE team are super light, super bright, combined with pyrotechnics, with a unique perspective and elaborate investment, in-depth understanding of tourism, culture, history, Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa in particular and Vietnam in general, showing the simplest images from the coffee filter familiar to most Vietnamese people to the image of Dong Son bronze drum symbolizing the history and long-standing culture of Vietnam, or the image of "Dragon", "Lac bird" symbolizing the strength, sacredness, and origin of the Vietnamese people "Dragon's descendants", Lotus flower - representing the personality and soul of the Vietnamese people...
Through this competition, Khanh Hoa province is proud to become the first locality in the country to directly set two prestigious Guinness World Records: "The world's largest light show of wonders" and "The world's largest light show of Vietnamese cultural symbols - Lac birds".
According to the Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism, during the program, Khanh Hoa welcomed nearly 1,550,000 overnight guests. Of which, international visitors were estimated at 395,000, domestic visitors were estimated at 1,155,000. Hotels in the center of Nha Trang city during the Nha Trang International Light Bay Festival 2024 achieved an average room occupancy rate of over 90%. Total revenue from tourists is estimated at about 7,061.5 billion VND.
More than 50 million live views of the program on television channels and media channels; more than 5 million interactions about the event on social media platforms, nearly 2,000 domestic and international articles reporting on the event.
