Kien Giang In just 5 hours, Korean tourists can fly from winter to summer when coming to Phu Quoc to avoid the cold at the end of the year.

Korea's AsiaA newspaper listed the reasons why Korean tourists increasingly love and choose to visit Phu Quoc, Vietnam.

Accordingly, the pearl island is a suitable destination for tourists who want to enjoy a warm winter, temporarily forgetting about bulky coats to wear light, cool clothes, strolling along the smooth white sand beaches and emerald green sea. It only takes 5 hours for Korean tourists to "fly from winter to summer" to avoid the cold, AsiaA wrote.

"Phu Quoc has beautiful nature, warm weather all year round, average temperature is only 27 degrees Celsius, especially winter is the best time to travel here," suggested travel expert Lee Chae-hyeon of the newspaper.

The Korean newspaper also gave much praise to the natural beauty of the pearl island when more than half of the island is protected by UNESCO as a world biosphere reserve. The 150 km long coastline with gentle waves, clear blue water like jade, "perfect for relaxing and many sea sports". If you want to enjoy the sea scenery in another way, visitors can take the 3-wire cable car, which holds the Guinness record for the longest in the world (nearly 8 km) to Hon Thom island. 15 minutes by cable car, visitors can see the whole sea view of the south of Phu Quoc island from above.

Arriving at Hon Thom, visitors can continue to experience more than 70 thrilling games with the theme of "desert island adventure" at Sun World Hon Thom. Aquatopia Park is located in the complex and is the most modern amusement water park in Southeast Asia.

The newspaper also mentioned Sao Beach, one of the two most famous beaches on the island, which was once voted by CNN as "the most beautiful beach in the world".

The attraction of Phu Quoc also lies in the beauty of indigenous culture mixed with modernity. Experiencing local culture while having luxurious experiences at reasonable prices is one of the factors that make Korean tourists choose Phu Quoc.

For local experiences, Lee Chae-hyeon suggests visiting Dinh Cau, a temple built on a small rocky shore by the sea. Phu Quoc fishermen come here twice a month to pray for safe sailing. If you come in the morning, you can watch the locals perform rituals, and in the evening, watch the sunset and walk to the nearby night market.

"At the night market, you will drool when looking at the tanks filled with fresh seafood. This is also an ideal place to buy souvenirs, fresh fruits and Phu Quoc's famous pearls," Lee Chae-hyeon suggested.

The newspaper also recommends tourists visit Phu Quoc Prison and compares this place to Seodaemun in Korea, which is also a museum that attracts tourists.

Some other experiences suggested to Korean tourists are visiting fish sauce production facilities and pepper gardens. In particular, AsiaA especially praised Phu Quoc's high-quality pepper, stating that world-famous chefs have to come here directly to choose and buy. This is also an attractive experience for Korean tourists.

Leading airlines in Korea have rushed to open direct flights to Phu Quoc to serve the year-end tourist season, meeting the rapidly increasing demand of the people of this country.

Previously, Yonhap news agency also commented that resorts in Phu Quoc are a paradise for relaxation and family travel, calling the Pearl Island "Vietnam's Maldives".
