The General Secretary emphasized that our country has just passed through 2024 with many important events and milestones. The world, regional and domestic situation, in addition to advantages, also has many difficulties and challenges that far exceeded forecasts.
However, the difficulties, challenges, and fluctuations in the Party's internal political work not only did not negatively affect the country's socio-economic and cultural development and foreign affairs, but the policies set forth in the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress were also strongly promoted for implementation.
The Party and State leadership is more united, unified and determined. The preparations for the 14th Party Congress are being carried out urgently, thoughtfully, thoroughly and methodically, with many reforms aimed at selecting people who truly serve the country and the people, dare to speak, dare to do, dare to take responsibility, dare to sacrifice personal interests for the collective, truly exemplary and trusted by the masses.
The General Secretary affirmed that in the country's overall achievements, the People's Public Security force, former leaders of the Party and State, veteran Public Security officers, former leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, and retired senior Public Security officers of different periods have made important and proud contributions.

The General Secretary noted that 2025 is a year of special significance, the final year of the term in which the entire Party, people and army will strive to soon complete the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress; the year of holding Party Congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Party Congress; practically celebrating the 95th anniversary of the Party's founding, the 80th anniversary of National Day, the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday, the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification, the 80th anniversary of the tradition of the Vietnam People's Public Security and many other important political events.
Our country has entered a new era, an era of national growth, an era of development and prosperity, under the leadership of the Party, successfully building a socialist Vietnam, a rich people, a strong country, democracy, fairness, civilization, on par with the world powers.
To achieve this goal, bringing the country firmly into an era of prosperity, development and happiness, General Secretary To Lam hopes that the People's Public Security force must continue to be exemplary in implementing the Party's policies, and that former leaders and officers of the People's Public Security force through the periods continue to demonstrate their role and be shining examples in their places of residence, together with the entire Party, people and army, constantly strengthen solidarity and unity, join hands and hearts, make the most of opportunities and advantages, and promote all resources to build, develop and protect the Fatherland.

General Secretary To Lam expressed his respect and gratitude for the great contributions of comrades to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation, helping our country overcome difficult and arduous periods, carry out the renovation and integration process and gradually develop.
