Many communes in Thach Thanh district have organized to receive goods, necessities and provide relief to people whose houses were flooded.

According to the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense of Thach Thanh district, due to prolonged heavy rain and water pouring in from upstream, on the morning of September 12, the flood on the Buoi River rose again. At 11:00 a.m., the water level measured at Kim Tan Hydrological Station was 11.3m, 0.3m above alert level 2 and continuing to rise.
Rising floodwaters have increased the number of flooded houses and cut off many traffic routes. As of noon on September 12, 231 houses in 7 communes and towns in the area were flooded. Local authorities have urgently evacuated 67 households whose houses were deeply submerged in floodwaters to safe places. Specifically, the communes: Thanh Vinh 3 households, Thach Binh 6 households, Thanh Truc 39 households, Thanh Tien 9 households; Kim Tan town 8 households, Van Du town 2 households.
Authorities had to travel by boat to reach and rescue people in Ngoc Bo neighborhood.
The floods also flooded 20.9 km of roads in the area, cutting off many residential areas. Specifically, in the communes of Thanh Minh, Thanh Cong, Thanh Tan, Thanh Truc, Ngoc Trao, Thanh Tam, Thanh Tien, Thanh Long and Kim Tan town, many sections of road were flooded up to 1.7 m deep.
Among the households whose houses were flooded, in Ngoc Bo ward, Kim Tan town, there were 95 households out of a total of 100 households in the ward. 77 of these households had their houses flooded since the beginning of this flood (September 9). The main road leading to the ward and the branch road with a total length of 3km were also deeply flooded, some sections were flooded more than 1.5m, causing the entire ward to be cut off.

Mr. Hoang Khac Khoa, Chairman of Kim Tan Town People's Committee, said that the town has organized the distribution of food, foodstuffs, and drinking water to households whose houses were flooded in Ngoc Bo quarter. 8 households whose houses were deeply flooded have been evacuated to a safe place. On the morning of September 12, the town established a committee to receive relief goods for people affected by natural disasters caused by storm No. 3. There have been 3 volunteer groups registered to go to the locality to distribute relief goods to people.
Floods inundated houses in Thanh Truc commune.
In Thanh Truc commune, as of noon on September 12, floodwaters rose high and overflowed Provincial Road 523, causing 79 households to be submerged 0.8-1.2m deep and 595 households to be isolated and cut off. The commune government has been distributing food, supplies, and drinking water to support households whose houses were flooded since the afternoon of September 11.
Mr. Nguyen Huu Long, Chairman of Thanh Truc Commune People's Committee, said that with the spirit of putting the task of ensuring the health and safety of the people above all else, the commune is continuing to organize the distribution of food and drinking water to people whose houses are flooded. We are determined not to let any people go hungry or have no place to eat or stay due to the floods.

Also on the morning of September 12, Thanh Truc commune established a committee to receive relief goods for people affected by natural disasters caused by storm No. 3. Three volunteer groups in Thanh Hoa city, Bim Son town, and Nga Son district have registered to send relief goods to people.
In addition, heavy rains over the past few days have caused landslides near residential areas and roads in the area. The authorities have urgently evacuated 9 households living near the landslide area, or at high risk of being affected by landslides in Thach Lam and Thach Tuong communes to safety.
Relief goods were delivered promptly to people in Thanh Truc commune whose houses were flooded.
This morning, comrade Trinh Tuan Sinh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, inspected and directed the flood response work in Thach Thanh district. The Provincial Fatherland Front Committee presented relief goods to people affected by natural disasters caused by storm No. 3 in the area.
