Recently, Ms. Huynh Phuong Loan, General Secretary of the Vietnam Shooting Federation, explained why expert Park Chung-gun's name was not included in the award book after the 19th ASIAD.

Ms. Loan said: “The main purpose of the award ceremony on the evening of October 18 is for Vietnamese coaches and athletes. The Shooting Federation has a list of hot rewards for athletes in advance, so this ceremony is being held.”
The General Secretary of the Vietnam Shooting Federation confirmed that there will be a ceremony to honor Mr. Park in November.
“The Federation has shortcomings. In November, the Federation will self-fund the organization of the National Championship, at which time there will be many coaches and athletes from the provinces, so it plans to honor expert Park Chung-gun at this event,” Ms. Loan continued.
Previously, on October 18, the Vietnam Shooting Federation held a celebration ceremony for athletes and coaches who achieved high results at international competitions in 2023.
However, the person who made great contributions to Vietnamese shooting, expert Park Chung-gun, was not on the list of awards.
According to some sources, the Korean expert then quietly left with red eyes.
Immediately afterwards, former head coach of the Vietnamese shooting team Nguyen Thi Nhung posted on her personal page to express her opinion.
“We owe you an apology. After the success that Coach Park Chung-gun brought to Shooting and Vietnam Sports.
Today, you were invited to attend the award ceremony of the Vietnam Shooting Federation to witness the honor given to the athletes and coaches - the students you have led and are leading. But you did not receive a word of thanks, not a bouquet of flowers from the Vietnam Shooting Federation", Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhung wrote.
The Vietnam Shooting Federation's award list on the evening of October 18 included athletes who won medals at the 19th ASIAD and the Asian Championship.
This list includes: Pham Quang Huy, Ngo Huu Vuong, Phan Cong Minh, Lai Cong Minh (won medals at ASIAD 19), Trinh Thu Vinh (won a ticket to the 2024 Olympics), Nguyen Thuy Trang (gold medal at the Asian Air Pistol Cup) and 3 coaches Hoang Xuan Vinh, Tran Quoc Cuong, Nghiem Viet Hung.
