Get people's satisfaction with the results of new rural construction

On the morning of November 26, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Nam province held a conference to consult with the Front Working Committees of residential areas and prestigious people on the results of building Tien Phuoc district to meet new rural standards (NTM) in 2024.

Reporting on the results of building new rural communes, advanced new rural communes, and civilized urban areas in the district, Mr. Nguyen Hung Anh, Vice Chairman of Tien Phuoc District People's Committee, said that up to now, the whole district has 14/14 communes, 100% of which have been recognized as meeting new rural standards.

Regarding the construction of advanced NTM communes in the 2021-2025 period, Tien Phuoc district has 10/14 communes registered to meet the standards of advanced NTM communes. To date, Tien Canh and Tien Phong communes have been recognized as meeting the standards of advanced NTM communes. The district is conducting an audit of the level of achievement of advanced NTM commune standards for Tien My commune; it is expected that the province will consider and recognize Tien My commune as meeting the standards of advanced NTM communes in 2024 before November 30, 2024.

Mr. Nguyen Hung Anh said that in the coming time, the district will continue to improve and enhance the material and spiritual life of the people; strive to build Tien Phuoc into a district with modern infrastructure, a reasonable and progressive economic structure and production organization; combine agricultural production development with rapid industrial and service development; promote democracy, build solidarity in the community; protect the ecological environment well; ensure security and order; build Tien Phuoc to meet the standards of an advanced new-style rural district, a model new-style rural district before 2030.

“Maintain and continuously improve the quality of criteria for communes and districts meeting NTM standards; strive to have 3 communes meeting model NTM standards, 9 communes meeting advanced NTM standards, the remaining communes meeting 10 or more advanced NTM criteria; have no outstanding debts in basic construction in implementing the National Target Program on NTM construction in the area”, Mr. Hung Anh emphasized.

Speaking at the Conference, Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Huong, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tien Canh Commune, Tien Phuoc District, said that criterion number 6 on cultural facilities has not met the needs of the people, especially the village community house.

Ms. Huong also recommended that the province pay attention to people in supporting preferential loans when the commune is recognized as meeting the standards of NTM and advanced NTM. Because, even though the standards are met, many people's income is still difficult, the need for loan support is still very necessary.

At the conference, delegates raised a number of questions such as: In 14 communes meeting the NTM standards, including 2 communes meeting the advanced NTM standards, the district was requested to report and analyze clearly the criteria that are still difficult, problematic, difficult to implement, and unsustainable in each locality, and to propose recommendations; Criterion No. 1 on planning, up to now, the planning of Tien Phuoc district has not been approved by the Provincial People's Committee, so it has not met the standard of criterion No. 1 on planning, the district was requested to report and clarify further;...

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Le Tri Thanh highly appreciated the opinions of the people at the consultation conference; at the same time, he said that through the opinions, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province will work with the People's Committee and the branches of the district to listen to reports, explanations and solutions to the problems raised by the people.

Organizing a consultation conference is an important basis for collecting opinions on people's satisfaction with the results of building new rural areas in Tien Phuoc district, expected to be held in early December 2024.
