Information from Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee said that Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee has just issued Plan No. 79/KH-UBND dated February 17, 2025 on industrial promotion in 2025 in the province. Accordingly, 7 rural industrial units and establishments are supported with funding to implement a number of activities to promote strengths, increase added value and competitiveness of products and goods.
In 2025, Lao Cai province will encourage and support organizations, individuals, and economic sectors to participate in investing and developing industrial and handicraft production in the area to promote strengths, save resources, and especially increase the added value and competitiveness of products. At the same time, develop rural industrial establishments in industries with potential, strengths, and competitiveness in the domestic and export markets; focusing on supporting industries: Processing agricultural, forestry, and handicraft products, medicinal herbs, etc.

District-level industrial promotion supports 5 rural industrial establishments in Lao Cai city, Bac Ha district, and Muong Khuong district with 5 projects such as: Support for investment in machinery and equipment in civil carpentry production (Ly Seo So establishment, Bac Ha district); support for machinery and equipment in agricultural product processing (Sung Pao establishment, Muong Khuong district); support for machinery and equipment for mechanical processing production (Minh Linh Construction and Trading Company Limited, Lao Cai city); support for machinery and equipment for mechanical processing production (Nguyen Ngoc Thai establishment, Lao Cai city); support for machinery and equipment in automatic tea bag production (Agricultural Pharmaceutical and Green Technology Joint Stock Company, Lao Cai city).
The total budget for implementing tasks and projects in 2025 is over 4.1 billion VND. Of which, the support budget from industrial promotion capital (provincial and district-level industrial promotion) is over 1.2 billion VND; the counterpart budget of beneficiary units is nearly 2.9 billion VND.
