Comrade Bui Dinh Long - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee chaired the reception. Also attending were Comrade Tran Khanh Thuc - Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs and leaders of a number of departments and branches.
Implementing the policies and guidelines of the Party and State, Nghe An province always focuses on strengthening and promoting close cooperation in many fields with provinces of Laos, including Xay Som Bun province.
Based on the proposal of Xay Som Bun province, Nghe An province is supporting human resource training for Xay Som Bun province. In the 2023-2024 school year, the province will receive and train a total of 20 international students from Xay Som Bun province. Of these, 10 students will study the Vietnamese language preparatory program at Nghe An Pedagogical College and 10 students will receive specialized training at universities in the province.
In addition, the two provinces also regularly organize delegation exchanges, information exchanges, and congratulatory messages on holidays, New Year, and important historical events of the two countries and two provinces through diplomatic channels.
Delegation exchange activities between the two provinces have also been actively and effectively implemented. In particular, every year, the two provinces organize delegations to visit, work and celebrate Tet on the occasion of the traditional New Year of Vietnam and Laos.
The cooperation activities between Nghe An province and Xay Som Bun province not only contribute to strengthening the solidarity and special friendship between the two Parties, two States and peoples of Vietnam and Laos, but also play an important role in promoting socio-economic development, maintaining national defense, security, order and social safety of each province.
On behalf of the delegation, Comrade Suc-sa-vat Vong-phum-lech thanked Nghe An province for the warm and thoughtful reception; at the same time, expressed pride that the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries are increasingly blossoming and bearing fruit; including the relationship between Xay Som Bun province and Nghe An province.
Reviewing the cooperative relationship between the two provinces, especially in the fields of education and training, searching for the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died in Laos, the Deputy Governor of Xay Som Bun province sincerely thanked the leaders of Nghe An province for always caring and helping Xay Som Bun province; thereby, contributing greatly to the development of the province to become more and more progressive and strong.
On the occasion of the traditional New Year of the Vietnamese people, he wished Nghe An province to develop more and more; the relationship between the two countries in general and the two provinces in particular to be forever green and sustainable.
On behalf of the provincial leaders, Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee Bui Dinh Long assessed that the relationship between the two provinces continues to maintain a good development momentum; thanked the leaders of Xay Som Bun province for creating favorable conditions to support Nghe An citizens living and working in the province; especially for actively supporting the Nghe An Provincial Collection Team in searching, excavating, and collecting the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and military experts who died in Laos.
The Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee congratulated Xay Som Bun province on its achievements in socio-economic development and national defense and security in recent years, especially in the context that the province has been established for more than 10 years; at the same time, informed some key features of Nghe An province's socio-economic situation in 2023.
The Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee believes that the friendly and cooperative relationship between the two provinces in 2024 will continue to have new developments, creating a premise for socio-economic development of the two localities, contributing to the development of the two countries, fostering the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam - Laos, Laos - Vietnam.
