For the sixth consecutive time, Cuc Phuong has been honored as Asia's leading national park.

Considered the Oscar of world tourism

On the evening of September 3, 2024, in the City of Dreams Manila, Republic of the Philippines, Cuc Phuong National Park of Vietnam surpassed many competitors such as: Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park of Japan, Chitwan National Park of Nepal, ... to be honored once again in the category of Asia's Leading National Park 2024.

It is known that this is the 6th consecutive year (2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024) that Cuc Phuong National Park of Vietnam has won this noble title.

The World Travel Awards is the world's leading awards in the travel industry and has been held annually since 1993.

To date, the award has become the world's most prestigious and prestigious brand in honoring outstanding achievements in the tourism industry in all fields. This award is also known as the Oscar of world tourism.

Asia's Top National Parks

Cuc Phuong National Park is considered one of the State's public service units that has been effectively using the Government's investment resources and support from domestic and international organizations.

With the motto of taking the effectiveness of forest protection and biodiversity conservation as a product serving scientific research, forest environmental education, and ecotourism services to raise awareness, while developing community livelihoods, and contributing to rapid, green, and sustainable economic development, this Award continues to affirm the attractiveness of ecotourism - a type of tourism that has been and is being exploited in national parks and conservation areas in Vietnam.

This is a great motivation for Vietnam's forestry management agencies to continue to develop strongly, promote and develop the multi-use of forests. At the same time, it is expected to be a golden opportunity to promote the image of beautiful nature and Vietnam's tourism to the world.

Mr. Nguyen Van Chinh, Director of Cuc Phuong National Park said: "The award is not only a source of encouragement for us but also the sentiment of the domestic and international community for the persistent efforts over the past 60 years of many generations of Cuc Phuong National Park staff.

Along with that is the recognition of the sacrifices and contributions of the indigenous community; experts, scientists and millions of tourists."

Cuc Phuong is the first National Park in Vietnam established under Decision No. 72-QD/TTg dated July 7, 1962 of the Prime Minister with the main functions and tasks of conserving natural resources and cultural, historical and landscape values; maintaining the protective effect of forests; organizing scientific research activities, ecological environmental services and environmental education.
