Deepening the traditional friendship between Vietnam and Azerbaijan

The Vice Chairman of the New Azerbaijan Party affirmed that Azerbaijan highly values ​​and prioritizes relations with Vietnam, considering Vietnam an important partner in the Asia- Pacific region.

On the afternoon of November 22, at the Party Central Committee headquarters, Comrade Truong Thi Mai, Politburo member, Permanent member of the Secretariat, Head of the Central Organization Committee, received a delegation of the ruling New Azerbaijan Party of the Republic of Azerbaijan led by Mr. Tahir Budagov, Vice Chairman of the Party, Head of the Central Office of the New Azerbaijan Party during a working visit to Vietnam from November 19-24.

Expressing his joy at visiting Vietnam, Mr. Tahir Budagov thanked the Standing Member of the Secretariat for taking the time to receive the delegation and congratulated the Communist Party of Vietnam for leading the people to achieve many great achievements in building and developing the country.

Mr. Tahir Budagov highly appreciated the traditional friendship between Vietnam and Azerbaijan, affirming that Azerbaijan attaches great importance to and prioritizes relations with Vietnam, considering Vietnam an important partner in the Asia-Pacific region.

Expressing his delight that during the delegation's visit, the two Parties signed a new Cooperation Agreement, laying the foundation for relations between the two countries in all fields, Mr. Tahir Budagov affirmed that Azerbaijan will actively coordinate with Vietnam to effectively implement the Cooperation Agreement, bringing relations between the two Parties to develop strongly in the coming time, contributing to further deepening the traditional friendship between Vietnam and Azerbaijan.

Welcoming the working visit to Vietnam of the New Azerbaijan Party delegation, Comrade Truong Thi Mai, Politburo member, Permanent member of the Secretariat, Head of the Central Organization Commission, said that this visit of the New Azerbaijan Party delegation and the signing of the Cooperation Agreement between the Communist Party of Vietnam and the New Azerbaijan Party is an important milestone in the relationship between the two Parties.

The Standing Secretariat believes that the visit will contribute to strengthening the traditional friendship between Vietnam and Azerbaijan in general and between the Communist Party of Vietnam and the New Azerbaijan Party in particular.

Comrade Truong Thi Mai congratulated Azerbaijan on the achievements under the leadership of the New Azerbaijan Party, and expressed gratitude for the valuable support that the State and people of Azerbaijan have given to Vietnam in the past struggle for national independence as well as in Vietnam's cause of national construction and development today.

Discussing the situation of the two Parties and two countries, reviewing important milestones in the Vietnam-Azerbaijan bilateral relationship, especially President Ho Chi Minh's visit to Azerbaijan in 1959, Azerbaijani People's Leader Heydar Aliyev's visit to Vietnam in 1983 and mutual visits by senior leaders of the two countries, the two sides expressed their belief that, on the basis of traditional friendship and inherent potential, with the efforts of both sides, the Vietnam-Azerbaijan relationship will develop well in all fields, passing on to future generations.
