Disciplinary action against principal who snatched microphone and pointed at parent association president during year-end ceremony

The reason Ms. Chung was disciplined was because she grabbed the vice principal's microphone and pointed at the school's parents' association president when he spoke about the socialization of irregularities in the year-end ceremony and many other violations in the fields of management and finance.

Previously, at the end of May 2024, social networks in Quang Binh spread many clips showing that at the closing ceremony of Quy Dat Town Kindergarten No. 1, the school's parents' association president went on stage to speak and mentioned the irregularities in the school's socialization.

Instead of accepting and explaining the opinions of the parents' association president, the principal of this school, Ms. Dinh Thi Bui Chung, stood up and held the microphone to prevent the parents' association president from continuing to speak.

At the same time, Ms. Chung walked up to the stage and pointed at the president of the parents' association to ask him not to talk about socialization during the closing ceremony.

A vice principal stood up to express his opinion that the president of the parents' association was invited to speak and had asked for permission so he had the right to speak, but Ms. Chung snatched the microphone from the vice principal's hand.

Immediately after the incident, Minh Hoa district established an inspection team and determined: In addition to the unprofessional behavior of snatching the microphone from the parents' association president, Quy Dat Kindergarten No. 1 also had many violations in socialization and financial collection and disbursement.

Specifically, with the mobilization of funding for 19 lockers for students within the school's sponsored scope, the school established a sponsorship receiving team, but when receiving the sponsorship for the 19 lockers mentioned above, the school took charge of receiving the funds, not the school's previously established sponsorship receiving team.

In the handover minutes of these cabinets, there is a discrepancy between the cabinet sponsors, as one side records the executive committee of the parents' association of each class, while another section records the cabinet sponsor as the representative committee of the parents' association of the school.

In addition, the school also spent more than the prescribed amount; spent on entertaining guests without having a previous working record; collected labor fees from students of 20,000 VND per student per month, exceeding the prescribed amount by 6,000 VND per student.

In addition to the disciplinary reprimand, Ms. Chung will be classified as not completing her tasks for the year and will be delayed in receiving a salary increase. At the same time, Ms. Chung will have to repay the amount of the violation according to the conclusion of the inspection.
