On December 25, the People's Council of Krong Nang district, term VIII, 2021 - 2026, held the 7th session to evaluate the results of implementing the tasks of socio-economic development (SED), ensuring national defense and security (NDS) in 2023; and pass reports and resolutions on socio-economic development in 2024.
Comrades: Pham Ba Thin, Chairman of the District People's Council; Tran Van Ngoc, Vice Chairman of the District People's Council co-chaired the meeting.
Attending the meeting were Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Tran Phu Hung; Secretary of the District Party Committee Nguyen Thi Thu An; Permanent Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee Y Bion Nie; Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the District People's Committee Vu Van My.

According to the report presented at the Session, in 2023, the district achieved and exceeded 15/16 targets set out in the plan. The growth rate of production value reached 11.23% (Resolution (NQ) 7 - 8%); total social investment capital reached 2,400 billion VND, reaching 103.67% of the plan (KH); total state budget revenue reached 215.2 billion VND, reaching 100.9% of the plan; creating new jobs for 2,150 workers (NQ 2,000 workers), the poverty rate decreased by 2.11% (NQ 1.5 - 2%)...

Attention is paid to the fields of culture - society, administrative reform, and digital transformation; National defense and security are maintained, social order and safety are ensured. The work of receiving citizens, handling complaints and denunciations, inspection, examination, and preventing corruption, negativity, and waste is effectively implemented.

At the meeting, the District People's Council approved the reports of the Standing Committee of the People's Council, the Committees of the People's Council, the People's Court, the People's Procuracy, the Civil Judgment Enforcement Office, and the District Police on the results of activities in 2023 and the direction and tasks for 2024; listened to the announcement of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the district on the work of participating in government building... The delegates discussed, questioned and listened to the leaders of the District People's Committee explain a number of issues on socio-economic development.
Also at the Session, the delegates voted and passed resolutions; including a number of important resolutions, such as: Resolution on proposing the approval of socio-economic development goals and tasks, ensuring national defense and security in 2024; Resolution on allocating the State budget revenue and local budget expenditure estimates in 2024; Resolution on adjusting the medium-term public investment plan for the period 2021 - 2025; Resolution on the public investment plan in 2024; Resolution on organizing district People's Council meetings in 2024; Resolution on establishing a thematic supervision team in 2024...

In his closing speech, Chairman of the District People's Council Pham Ba Thin requested all levels, sectors and localities in the district to focus on directing the effective implementation of proposed socio-economic development solutions, especially overcoming limitations and weaknesses; reviewing and comparing low-achievement targets and tasks to have drastic direction plans, ensuring the completion of targets set by the District People's Council resolutions.
He suggested that the District People's Committee urgently implement the resolutions passed by the District People's Council; study and seriously absorb the opinions of delegates, voters and people to have practical solutions to create positive changes in the management field as well as ensure the progress and quality of implementing solutions, promoting socio-economic development of the district.
