According to the Department of Transport, on the evening and night of April 17, thunderstorms and showers occurred throughout the province. Some districts such as Bao Yen, Bat Xat, and Bac Ha had showers and strong winds that knocked down many large trees on National Highway 279, National Highway 4E, and some provincial roads, causing traffic jams.
In particular, on National Highway 279, from Km38+300 to Km58+20 (Pho Rang town to Nghia Do commune, Bao Yen), there were 26 points of fallen trees and landslides causing traffic jams from 9:00 p.m. on April 17.

On National Highway 4E, from Ban Vuoc commune to Trinh Tuong commune, there were also some spots where trees were knocked down by the storm, causing local traffic jams.
Immediately after receiving the information, the Department of Transport directed maintenance units to urgently mobilize machinery and human resources to the locations of fallen trees and landslides to overcome the consequences and ensure smooth traffic. By 00:00 on April 18, the traffic jams caused by fallen trees and landslides had been cleared, ensuring safe travel for people and vehicles.
