National Highway 279 construction is at a standstill waiting for clearance

After nearly a year of construction, the project to renovate and upgrade National Highway 279 connecting Ha Long - Cam Pha has only completed nearly 30% of the total volume of items. The cause was determined to be the lack of space, forcing the contractor to carry out construction at a slow pace.
The project to renovate and upgrade National Highway 279 is identified as a strategic traffic route, aiming to enhance connectivity and reduce travel time between the two central cities of the province, Ha Long - Cam Pha, and the Ha Long - Van Don expressway. However, after nearly a year of construction, contractors have only completed nearly 30% of the total volume of items. In particular, at Dien Vong bridge, the construction of piers and piers has been completed, the I33 beam has been completed correctly and the beam installation is being prepared. At Quang Hanh intersection, the contractor is focusing on constructing bored piles, drilling and riveting at the pillars of the branch line, and constructing the overpass pier body. On the route, due to the fact that site clearance work has not been ensured according to plan, the contractor is forced to organize construction at a slow pace at the locations where the site has been handed over. At Quang Hanh intersection, there are still many locations without construction sites, causing difficulties and affecting the overall progress of the project. Also due to lack of space, the contractor was forced to organize the casting of beams and components nearly 5km away from the construction site.
