Kien Xuong focuses on implementing 15 targets set out in the Resolution of the District Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term.

On the afternoon of October 17, Kien Xuong District Party Committee held a mid-term review of the implementation of the Resolution of the 26th District Party Congress, term 2020 - 2025.

Comrade Nguyen Tien Thanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council and delegates attended the conference.

Attending the conference were comrades: Nguyen Tien Thanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Pham Dong Thuy, Standing Committee Member, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; Vu Ngoc Tri, Provincial Party Committee Member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council.

Despite many difficulties, with the spirit of solidarity, unity and high determination of the Party Committee, government and people in the district, in the first half of the 2020 - 2025 term, Kien Xuong district has achieved important results in all fields. Of the total 15 targets set out in the Resolution of the District Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term, Kien Xuong has so far completed 4 targets; 5 targets reached over 90%; 4 targets reached over 70% and 2 targets reached under 50%. The economy has maintained and developed stably with a fairly high growth rate, reaching 8.05%, equal to 78.9% compared to the target set by the resolution. To date, Kien Xuong has 6 communes recognized as advanced new rural communes; 6 new cooperatives have been established, of which 2 cooperatives are being invested in building model cooperatives. The industrial and construction sectors have grown quite well, with an average increase of 16.88% per year. Industrial clusters in the district have been maintained and developed. Cultural and social activities have been maintained in order and have had new developments. Military, national defense, and political security work have continued to be consolidated and enhanced. Party building and the political system have seen many innovations; the leadership capacity and fighting strength of party organizations have been gradually improved. Kien Xuong strives for an average growth rate of 10.02% per year or more in the entire term of production value. By 2025, export turnover will reach 118.42 million USD or more; average income will reach 77.38 million VND/person/year; the number of poor households will be reduced by 1/3 or more; over 25% of communes will achieve advanced NTM and model NTM.

Speaking at the conference, comrade Nguyen Tien Thanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council acknowledged and commended the efforts of Kien Xuong district in the past half term, and at the same time pointed out the limitations, weaknesses and solutions to overcome them in the coming time.

He emphasized: From now until the end of the term, there is not much time left. In order to strive to achieve the goals set out in the Resolution of the District Party Congress, Kien Xuong district needs to review the targets and plans set at the beginning of the term, clearly identify the reasons for the targets that have not been achieved, forecast that they will be difficult to achieve, implement fundamental and breakthrough solutions and urgently supplement the tasks and solutions suitable to the reality of each sector and field, especially the fields with potential and room for improvement; assign specific tasks to each cadre and party member, at the same time strengthen the supervision and inspection of work, overcome limitations and weaknesses in the organization and implementation. In the coming time, Kien Xuong needs to have a creative approach, suitable to reality; focus on economic development in all three areas: agriculture - aquaculture, industry - construction, trade - services to improve people's lives, create investment resources for development. Actively attract investment, especially investment in industrial clusters; actively clear land; maintain and develop traditional craft villages, increase the value of craft village products, create jobs for rural people. Continue to pay attention to building new rural areas in a practical direction, focusing on developing production organization. Pay attention to comprehensive care for cultural and social fields. Continue to promote administrative reform, raise awareness, attitude, and responsibility of cadres and civil servants in performing their duties. Comprehensively and effectively carry out national defense and security tasks. Continue to synchronously deploy tasks and solutions to build a clean and strong Party Committee and political system of the district.
