In 2018, Hanoi People's Committee issued Decision No. 1285 approving the detailed planning project of Vinh Hung Ecological Park, scale 1/500 in Vinh Hung ward, Hoang Mai district. The total land area for planning research is about 15 hectares.

The west borders the existing road, the north borders the factory area, Noi Thuong collective housing area (Vinh Tuy ward) and a sunken pond, the east borders Vinh Hung street, the south borders the residential area of ​​Vinh Hung ward, Hoang Mai district.

The project's goal is to exploit the advantages of natural resources and landscapes of the area to form a model ecological park combining sports, recreation, and entertainment with its own unique identity right in the heart of Hanoi, ensuring stable and sustainable development, contributing to promoting the socio-economic development of Hoang Mai district.

However, according to Dan Tri reporters, after many years of being handed over to the investor for implementation, Vinh Hung eco-zone has fallen into a state of abandonment, with many items seriously degraded.

The signboard of the eco-tourism area adjacent to Vinh Hung Street is no longer visible because it is covered by trees, and the lights are also damaged.

Although there is a sign prohibiting littering, the entrance to Vinh Hung Ecological Park is full of trash and smells bad.

Fallen branches and leaves cover both sides of the road running along Vinh Hung eco-tourism area.

Facilities that have not been used for a long time become rusty, overgrown with trees and unkempt.

A series of huts by the lake are seriously degraded, with exposed iron frames and rotten floorboards, posing many dangers when used by people.

Garbage surrounds the lake, causing pollution and ruining the urban beauty.

Mr. Duc, a security guard at Vinh Hung eco-zone, said that the desolate and desolate scene here has been going on for many years: "This place used to be like the green lung of Hoang Mai area, but now it is desolate and deserted."

Wasted space, the ecological area becomes a shortcut for vehicles from Vinh Hung street to Tan Khai street.
