Cold air causes the North to cool down deeply

It is forecasted that by November 30, cold air will affect the northeastern region of the North, then affect other places in the North, North Central and Central Central regions. From the night of November 30, the weather in the North and North Central regions will turn cold, with some mountainous areas in the North experiencing severe cold.

During this cold air mass, the lowest temperature in the North and North Central regions is generally from 16 - 19 degrees Celsius, in the mountainous areas of the North it is generally 12 - 15 degrees Celsius, in the high mountainous areas it is below 11 degrees Celsius.

From the afternoon of November 30, in the Gulf of Tonkin, there will be strong northeast winds of level 6, sometimes level 7, gusting to level 8, waves 2-4 m high, rough seas; in the northern East Sea (including the waters of Hoang Sa archipelago), there will be strong northeast winds of level 6-7, gusting to level 8-9, waves 4-6 m high, rough seas.

From early morning on December 1, the sea area from Quang Tri to Quang Ngai and the northern part of the central East Sea will have northeast winds gradually increasing to level 6, gusting to level 7-8, with waves 2-4.5 m high. Rough seas.

From the night of November 30 to December 3, the area from southern Nghe An to Binh Dinh will have moderate rain, heavy rain, and in some places very heavy rain and thunderstorms. Total rainfall is commonly from 100 - 300 mm/period, in some places over 400 mm/period.

Thunderstorms accompanied by tornadoes, lightning, and hail can affect agricultural production, cause trees to fall, damage houses, traffic works, and infrastructure. Heavy rain can also cause flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides, and flooding in low-lying areas.

Strong winds and large waves at sea are likely to affect shipping and other activities. Low temperatures are likely to affect crops and livestock.
