A strong mark in the series of activities to celebrate the 65th anniversary of tradition (1959 - 2024) and 10th anniversary of the establishment of Hanoi Capital University (2014 - 2024) is the space to display the traditions and achievements of the school located on the campus of the main headquarters (No. 98, Duong Quang Ham Street, Quan Hoa Ward, Cau Giay District, Hanoi).
The space for displaying traditions and achievements is carefully prepared, arranged and scientifically organized according to the historical process of the school. There, documents and artifacts related to the establishment, activities and typical achievements in the construction and development of the school throughout the 65-year journey are displayed and introduced.
Preparations for the traditional exhibition space were made many months in advance. The members of the Subcommittee spent a lot of effort searching, collecting, and assembling documents, pictures, and artifacts representing each stage of the school's history.
The exhibition space is divided into two main areas; area 1 shows the traditional history of the school, from 1959 to 2014. There is a diagram summarizing the stages of the school's development before it was decided to become a university. Following the traditional history area is the area displaying images representing generations of lecturers.
Area 2 is the period from 2014 to present, displaying images and content showing the development of the school; at the same time introducing the process and the merged units that created the strength of Hanoi Capital University.
In the traditional area, there are also displays of images showing the school's activities and achievements in the fields of: competition, scientific research, education and training, community activities, Trade Union, Youth Union, Student Association.
"Returning to school, passing through the traditional space, I feel like I am returning to my memories of school days - when I was a student teacher at Hanoi Pedagogical High School. I see my teachers and friends through precious documentary photos" - former student teacher Nguyen Le Hang emotionally shared.
Nguyen Mai Anh - a student of the Faculty of Education, Hanoi Capital University, emotionally said: "As a first-year student, I had learned a lot about the school before, but coming to the traditional space, I saw a vivid and clear picture of the school's long history. I also felt the spirit of solidarity and striving of generations of teachers, lecturers, students to build a large and strong school with many achievements like today...".
Hanoi Capital University is the only public university under the Hanoi People's Committee. In the 70-year history of formation and development of the capital's education and training sector, Hanoi Capital University has made positive contributions to the cause of education and training of high-quality human resources, serving the socio-economic development of the capital and the whole country.
During its 65-year development journey, Hanoi Capital University has always received the attention and close guidance of the city's leaders. Currently, the school has 28 regular university-level majors that have been built and organized for training, 3 master's degree training programs, and 1 doctoral training program.
The school's apparatus includes: School Council, Board of Directors, Science and Training Council, 8 faculties, 6 departments, 6 centers and 1 functional unit. The total number of staff, civil servants and employees of the school is 460; the total number of students studying is nearly 10,000.
Hanoi Capital University has been developing into a multidisciplinary training institution; in which it continues to attach importance to teacher training in an applied orientation, providing high-quality human resources, scientific research products and technology transfer to meet the socio-economic development needs of Hanoi, the capital region and the whole country.
In the coming time, the school is oriented to become a prestigious center of education, science and technology culture, innovation and international cooperation, worthy of the development of Hanoi City, ranked highly in the system of Vietnamese universities, participating in the network of regional and international universities.
