Students participating in school programs in the 2023-2024 school year

Accordingly, the school program is extracurricular educational activities that are not included in the educational content in the 2-session/day teaching plan.

The school program is implemented in secondary schools with the aim of helping students develop necessary qualities, abilities, awareness and civic personality. At the same time, it promotes self-study ability and lifelong learning awareness; the ability to choose a career suitable to one's abilities and interests, conditions and circumstances, and the ability to adapt to changes in the context of globalization and the new industrial revolution.

Specifically, the Department of Education and Training orients the school program content as follows:

• The school's curriculum covers the following areas of education: language; physical education; literature - arts; social sciences; technology - information technology; natural sciences; career guidance; ethics - civics; economics - law.
• The school program belongs to the out-of-school experiential activities stipulated in the General Education Program: experiential activities have the main function of carrying out the tasks of educating ethics, values, beliefs, ideals, aesthetics, health, work attitude, behavioral principles, lifestyle and life skills...
• The school program implements projects and plans of the city and the education sector.

During the implementation and guidance process, the leaders of the Department of Education and Training direct that the school program must be developed to ensure the voluntary participation of students, the consensus of parents and to be suitable for the implementation conditions of the school. When organizing to collect consensus, the school must ensure that it receives the voluntary participation of individual learners. Absolutely do not collect opinions from parent representatives. After receiving the consensus and registration of participation from parents, the principal assigns teams, groups and individuals to be responsible for organizing the implementation.

In particular, the Department's leaders noted that the collection, expenditure, management and use of contributions from students and parents from school programs must comply with the financial revenue and expenditure regulations of the Department of Education and Training.
