(Fatherland) - On the evening of December 10, the Department of Cinema (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) coordinated with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Cao Bang province, and related units to organize the opening ceremony of the "Film Week Celebrating the 80th Anniversary of the Founding of the Vietnam People's Army" in Cao Bang.
At the opening ceremony, Director of the Department of Cinema Dang Tran Cuong emphasized: Cao Bang is a place that marks the heroic history of the struggle for national independence, one of the places deeply associated with the history of the revolution and the birth of the Vietnam Propaganda Liberation Army, the predecessor of the Vietnam People's Army. Organizing the Film Week here is not only a tribute to the heroes and martyrs but also an opportunity to inspire and educate the revolutionary tradition to the younger generation.
The Organizing Committee presented flowers to the artists, film crew and soldiers of the Red Dawn film prototype.
The film week aims to educate cadres, soldiers and the general public about the formation, development and contributions of the Vietnam People's Army over the past 80 years, affirming the talented and wise leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam and President Ho Chi Minh. The films not only reflect the heroic fighting spirit and loyalty to the Fatherland, but also deeply depict the lives, emotions and very simple and familiar aspirations of soldiers.
At the Film Week, the Organizing Committee will screen the following films: “Green Star in the Waves” produced by the People’s Army Cinema in 2023; “Red Dawn” produced by the Vietnam Cinema Association Film Studio in 2021; and the documentary “Spirit Image” produced by the People’s Army Cinema in 2024.
