Opening of the exhibition "Colors of Hai Phong - Quang Ninh Sea Cultural Heritage"

(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the morning of November 19, Hai Phong Museum coordinated with Quang Ninh Museum to open the exhibition "Colors of Hai Phong - Quang Ninh marine cultural heritage".
This is an event to celebrate the 79th anniversary of Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day, contributing to raising awareness of the role and importance of marine culture in the cultural and spiritual life of the people in the coastal area, as well as the results of cooperation, coordination and close connection between Hai Phong - Quang Ninh in many fields, especially in the field of cultural heritage.
The thematic exhibition of more than 200 artifacts and images is divided into three parts: Part 1 is "Time Sediments" which helps to recreate the imprint of marine culture through archaeological sites such as Cai Beo and Ha Long - where residents thousands of years ago created tools and marine exploitation technologies; Part 2 is "Heritage Colors" introducing traditional festivals such as: Do Son Buffalo Fighting Festival, Tra Co Communal House Festival and unique folk performing arts such as dum singing; Part 3 "Heritage Connection" affirms the role of connection between Hai Phong and Quang Ninh in cultural and economic development and marine environmental protection.
The exhibition is not only an opportunity for the city's people and tourists to learn about and be proud of the cultural heritage, but also a responsibility in preserving and promoting those values, especially now that the two localities are together demonstrating their responsibility in preserving and promoting the value of the first inter-provincial and municipal World Heritage in Vietnam: Ha Long Bay - Cat Ba Archipelago, thereby creating more motivation to turn cultural heritage into a resource for sustainable development.
