Opening of the 2024 military combat staff training course

(Bqp.vn ) - On the afternoon of May 27, at the National Military Training Center 4, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Central Military Commission, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, Deputy Minister of National Defense chaired the opening of the training course on combat staff work for the entire army in 2024.

Attending the opening ceremony of the training course were members of the Party Central Committee: Senior Lieutenant General Huynh Chien Thang, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army; Lieutenant General Nguyen Doan Anh, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army; Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Gau, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army. Also attending was Lieutenant General Nguyen Trong Binh, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army.

During the 4 days (from May 27 to May 30), nearly 600 key cadres from agencies and units throughout the army will focus on studying and discussing the contents of new combat methods in future wars; military zone defense operations in the war to protect the Fatherland; command and staff work in military zone defense operations; organization and methods of command exercises, infantry division agencies, provincial defense zone exercises; some contents of Party work, political work in command and staff exercises of campaigns, strategies, defense zone exercises...

Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong gave a speech directing the training course.

In his speech, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong emphasized that the training course aims to improve the qualifications, capacity, and working methods of commanders and agencies at all levels in researching and assessing the situation, advising and proposing solutions to national defense and security situations in the new situation. In addition, the training course also focuses on studying new issues on methods, tricks, and means of combat in some conflicts that have occurred in the world recently, as a basis for advising, directing, guiding, and unifying the system of combat documents, applying them to training and exercises to meet the requirements of combat missions in the new situation.

In order for the training course to achieve its objectives and requirements, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong requested the Organizing Committee to conduct the training according to plan. The lecturers must promote a sense of responsibility, create lively lectures, and use easy-to-understand communication methods in accordance with the approved content. Trainees must improve their self-study spirit, develop their intelligence, and grasp the content; effectively apply the acquired knowledge to their work at their units; and create a new change in their awareness of staff work, leadership, direction, and organization of task implementation at agencies and units.
