Thanh Khe District Traditional Fishing Festival 2025 held at Ha Khe Sea Park

Cau Ngu Festival is a traditional beauty of the coastal communities in the Central and Southern regions, associated with the worship of Whale - the guardian god of the sea of ​​fishermen. This is the most important festival of the year for fishermen to pray for "calm weather, smooth sailing, and a full hold of fish and shrimp". The festival is recognized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as a "National Intangible Cultural Heritage".

From early morning, many people and tourists were present at Ha Khe sea park to participate in the festival.

The festival takes place over 3 days with traditional rituals and many cultural and artistic activities. The ceremony includes: the welcoming ceremony, the offering ceremony to welcome the Nam Hai Thuong Dang Than at the beach, the flag dance, the peace praying ceremony and the thanksgiving ceremony.

This is the most important festival of the year for fishermen to pray for "calm seas, favorable winds, and a full hold of fish and shrimp."

Many generations of people from the elderly to the young join hands to preserve and promote the traditional values ​​of their ancestors.

The festival includes many activities with strong folk characteristics: net weaving, carrying fish, basket weaving, "sea flavor" cuisine; opera singing, bai choi singing and sea sports such as: Sup boat performance, Kzal boat performance...

There are also booths displaying models and images with the theme "Hoang Sa and Truong Sa belong to Vietnam", booths of OCOP products, typical of districts in Da Nang city and typical culinary dishes in Thanh Khe district.

The festival is not only an opportunity to preserve spiritual, religious, cultural and artistic values ​​but also contributes to strengthening community cohesion. This is also an attractive cultural meeting place for tourists to explore and experience the lives of local people and is a source of encouragement for fishermen to stick to the sea and maintain the cultural lifestyle of the people.
