Opening of the 19th Session of the Provincial People's Council (term X): Taking a vote of confidence for 28 positions elected by the Provincial People's Council

(QNO) - This morning, December 29, the Provincial People's Council (10th term) opened its 19th session under the chairmanship of Central Party Committee member - Provincial Party Secretary - Provincial People's Council Chairman Phan Viet Cuong and Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Council Tran Xuan Vinh and Nguyen Cong Thanh.

At the beginning of the session, after the opening speech of Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Phan Viet Cuong, on behalf of the Provincial People's Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Tri Thanh presented the proposals to the Provincial People's Council to dismiss Mr. Tran Van Tan - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and Mr. Le Ngoc Tuong - Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs, member of the Provincial People's Committee for the term 2021 - 2026.

Previously, Mr. Tran Van Tan and Mr. Le Ngoc Tuong had shortcomings and violations during their work and were disciplined by the Central Committee by being expelled from the Party.

As a result, 100% of the Provincial People's Council delegates agreed with the proposal and voted to dismiss Mr. Tran Van Tan from the position of Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and Mr. Le Ngoc Tuong from the position of Member of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term. The Provincial People's Council voted to pass a resolution confirming the dismissal of the above positions at the meeting.

Next, the chairman of the session directed the Provincial People's Council to conduct a vote of confidence for the positions elected by the People's Council according to Resolution 96/2023/QH15 of the 15th National Assembly.

The Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council said that according to regulations, this time, the Provincial People's Council will not conduct a vote of confidence for those who are waiting to retire, including: Mr. Phan Viet Cuong - Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Mr. Tran Thanh Ha - Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, Mr. Nguyen Phu - Director of the Department of Construction and Mr. Le Ngoc Tuong - Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs who were disciplined by the Central Committee and expelled from the Party.

Accordingly, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council presented the decision on the list of 28 people who were voted for by the Provincial People's Council this time. Of which, in the Provincial People's Council bloc, there are 6 people, including 2 Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Council and 4 Heads of the Economic - Budget; Culture - Society; Law and Ethnic Committees. In the Provincial People's Committee bloc, there are 22 people, including the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, 3 Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee and 18 members of the Provincial People's Committee who are heads of provincial departments and branches.

50/55 delegates of the Provincial People's Council present agreed with the list of 28 people submitted by the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council for voting this time and conducted a secret ballot.
