Comrades: Thai Thanh Quy - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Nguyen Nam Dinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Nhu Khoi - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council chaired the meeting.

At this session, the Provincial People's Council will review and evaluate the implementation of the province's socio -economic development plan in 2023 and tasks in 2024; report on the work results in 2023 and tasks in 2024 of the Standing Committee, the Provincial People's Council Committees, the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial People's Court, the Provincial People's Procuracy, the Provincial Civil Judgment Enforcement Agency and a number of related reports; review and approve draft Resolutions on socio-economic, national defense and security in the province and decide on a number of important contents under the authority of the Provincial People's Council.

The Provincial People's Council will question two groups of contents: Group 1: "Management and effective use of land originating from state-owned farms and forestry farms and Youth Volunteer Corps. Current situation, causes and solutions to enhance the effectiveness of management and effective use of land in the coming time"; Group 2: "Solutions to develop Nghe An tourism into a spearhead economic sector in the spirit of Resolution No. 39-NQ/TW dated July 18, 2023 of the Politburo on building and developing Nghe An province to 2030, with a vision to 2045".

The meeting will also conduct dismissals and elect additional members of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.

Speaking at the opening of the meeting, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Council of Nghe An province Thai Thanh Quy emphasized: The regular year-end meeting is a very important meeting with a large amount of work.

"With the wisdom, courage and experience accumulated after nearly half of the term of the Provincial People's Council, I respectfully request that the Provincial People's Council delegates continue to more effectively perform the role and responsibility of the People's representatives, and be more united, dedicated and responsible in performing their duties," the Provincial Party Secretary emphasized.

At the same time, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Council requested the Provincial People's Council delegates to promote the spirit of democracy, actively discuss in groups and halls, participate in questioning, clearly express their opinions, especially on issues with different opinions, creating high unity so that the Provincial People's Council can make decisions in accordance with the law and in accordance with practical situations.

Comrade Thai Thanh Quy requested that leaders of agencies, units and localities invited by the Provincial People's Council attend the meeting to fully participate and actively contribute to the meeting's contents.

In the working program, the Provincial People's Council listened to the representative of the Provincial People's Committee's leadership report summarizing the socio-economic situation in 2023, tasks in 2024; summarizing the results of handling voters' opinions and recommendations and the results of implementing the Notice of conclusion of questioning and answering questions at the 14th Session of the 18th Provincial People's Council, term 2021 - 2026; summarizing the content of the submission and draft resolution submitted to the session.
