Opening of the 26th Quang Nam Newspaper Traditional Cross Country Race

The highlight of the Quang Nam Newspaper Cross Country Race is the top competitions on the track of athletes from provincial and city teams across the country.

This year, the tournament continues to welcome 10 strong grassroots delegations, including the Da Nang National Sports Training Center, Da Nang City, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh, Quang Binh, Gia Lai, Kon Tum, Dak Lak and for the first time, the participation of the Cao Bang province delegation and the host Quang Nam.

Mr. Le Van Nhi - Editor-in-Chief of Quang Nam Newspaper, Head of the tournament organizing committee said that the main goal of the tournament is to create a playground for the mass sports movement, so the subjects are cadres, civil servants, public employees, workers, students, armed forces...

In addition, expand the playground, create conditions to attract professional athletes nationwide to create exchanges, stimulate training and competition movements.

The Quang Nam Newspaper Traditional Cross Country Race has been organized annually since 1997 by Quang Nam Newspaper, Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Department of Education and Training, Provincial Military Command, Provincial Border Guard Command, Provincial Police, Provincial Labor Federation, Provincial Youth Union and Tam Ky City People's Committee.

This year, the tournament organized 13 events in 8 blocks. The organizing committee awarded gold, silver, bronze medals and bonuses to the first, second and third place individuals in each competition event, and bonuses to the fourth and fifth place individuals; awarded flags and bonuses to the first, second and third place male and female teams; awarded cups, flags and bonuses to the first team; and flags and bonuses to the second and third place teams of the 7 blocks.
