Opening of the 2024 Ninh Thuan Provincial Open Table Tennis Tournament

On June 14, at the Provincial Sports Training and Competition Center Gymnasium, Ninh Thuan Newspaper coordinated with the Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to organize the opening ceremony of the 2024 Ninh Thuan Provincial Open Table Tennis Tournament - Ninh Thuan Newspaper Cup.

Attending the event were comrade Tran Minh Luc, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; representatives of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, the Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee, the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department; sponsors and athletes participating in the competition.

In his opening speech, Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism - Co-Head of the Organizing Committee of the Tournament emphasized: Responding to the Campaign "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho", in recent years, the Organizing Committee of the Ninh Thuan Provincial Table Tennis Tournament - Ninh Thuan Newspaper Cup has received positive responses in many aspects from the leaders of agencies, units, and accompanying businesses in successfully organizing the table tennis tournament, meeting the expectations of fans and those who love table tennis in the province - creating a useful playground for table tennis clubs and athletes to exchange, learn and demonstrate their professional talents.

The 2024 Table Tennis Tournament attracted 18 units/155 athletes to participate in 11 competitions. In addition, to improve the quality of the tournament, this year the Organizing Committee decided to expand the Team, Men's and Women's Singles to allow athletes from outside the province to participate; the 2024 Ninh Thuan Provincial Open Table Tennis Tournament - Ninh Thuan Newspaper Cup truly became a festival for athletes and table tennis fans in the province.

To encourage and cheer for the athletes, comrades Tran Minh Luc, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Nguyen Van Hoa, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Journalist Nguyen Quang Nhat, Deputy Editor-in-Chief in charge of Ninh Thuan Newspaper presented flowers and souvenir flags to the referee team and the athletes participating in the tournament.

Right after the opening ceremony, the audience present at the Provincial Sports Training Center witnessed attractive and quality matches from units and clubs inside and outside the province.

According to the competition schedule, over the 3 days of June 14, 15, and 16, athletes will compete in 11 events: Team tournament; amateur tournament for officials, civil servants, public employees, and armed forces, including 4 events: Men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, mixed-women doubles; Open amateur tournament, including 4 events: Men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, mixed-women doubles; Advanced tournament including 2 events: Men's singles and women's singles.
