As Thanh Nien reported, according to the report of the functional sector, in Khanh Hoa province there are a total of 67 constructions violating construction, of which in Nha Trang city alone there are 53 hotels violating construction by building extra floors, creating mezzanines, basements, and arbitrarily changing functions. Up to now, most of these violations have not been remedied despite paying fines.

Of the 67 violating constructions, 40 were licensed by the Department of Construction, and the remaining 27 were licensed by the District People's Committee and the Van Phong Economic Zone Management Board.
Previously, on November 20, 2023, in a document sent to the Department of Construction and related units and localities, Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee Tran Hoa Nam requested to urgently inspect and strictly handle construction works that violate construction order according to the provisions of law. At the same time, it is not allowed to repeat violations in new construction works.
The Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee also assigned the Department of Construction to synthesize and report the implementation results to the Provincial People's Committee before December 29, 2023. However, more than 10 days have passed since the deadline, but Khanh Hoa Department of Construction has not yet sent a report to the Provincial People's Committee.
Ton Dan Street, Loc Tho Ward is less than 200 m long and only about 3 m wide but is densely packed with hotels. There are 5 hotels here that have violated construction regulations.
Speaking with Thanh Nien , Mr. Le Minh Tien, Deputy Director of Khanh Hoa Department of Construction, said that due to the large volume of construction works and the duration of many different periods and stages, the Department has sent a document requesting permission from the Provincial People's Committee to extend the reporting time.
When asked by Thanh Nien reporters whether investors will be forced to fix and dismantle the violating parts, Mr. Tien said that each project and construction must be reviewed before specific measures can be taken. However, according to regulations, violating constructions will be forced to fix them, but they must follow the prescribed procedures and time. "After the inspection and handling results are available, the department will provide specific information," Mr. Tien said.
