(NLDO) - Police have rescued 6 people involved in the hotel fire in Thu Duc City (HCMC).
On the evening of March 16, a representative of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department (PC07) of Ho Chi Minh City Police informed about the fire at Cherish Hotel in Thu Duc City.
The police took a little girl out.
According to PC07, at 2:53 p.m. the same day, PC07 rescue center received a fire report at Cherish Hotel at 260A-262 Hoang Huu Nam Street, Long Thanh My Ward, Thu Duc City.
PC07 mobilized the Thu Duc City local team, Fire Fighting and Rescue Team of Area 1 and Area 2 (PC07) to the scene to carry out rescue work and rescued 6 people trapped inside to safety, including 2 children.
At the same time, the fire was extinguished at 3:40 p.m. the same day.
The fire damaged about 13/15m2 of room 202 (3rd floor) of the hotel along with some items such as mattresses, tables, chairs, wooden cabinets...
According to initial investigation, the cause of the fire was due to a guest checking out and forgetting to turn off the hair dryer, leading to an electrical short circuit.
However, the official cause is still under investigation by authorities.
