On the afternoon of June 22, National Highway 51, the roundabout section leading to the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway, experienced a local traffic jam lasting several kilometers due to a series of accidents and a high volume of traffic.
According to initial information, at around 4:00 p.m. the same day, the number of vehicles on National Highway 51 increased dramatically, and at the same time, vehicles from the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway poured down, causing local congestion on this route.
At the same time, at the roundabout leading to the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway, there was a series of collisions between cars, passenger vans and tractor-trailers. The accident did not cause any casualties, but made the traffic jam even more serious.
In addition, the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway from Long Thanh Bridge to Highway 51 is seriously congested, especially the roundabout area leading to the expressway. Vehicles moving through this area have to move little by little, taking a lot of time.
To resolve the congestion, traffic police were present at the scene, directing traffic and regulating vehicles. At the same time, the authorities also blocked vehicles from National Highway 51 onto the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway in the direction of Ho Chi Minh City to reduce the load on the roundabout area.
The traffic congestion on Highway 51 has now been resolved. However, traffic through the area is still quite heavy. Authorities recommend that people choose other suitable routes.
