According to Calciomercato, Juventus are planning to "say goodbye" to striker Dusan Vlahovic after the impressive appearance of Kolo Muani. It seems that Vlahovic's time in Turin is gradually coming to an end.
Kolo Muani has made an immediate impact since joining Juventus on loan from PSG, scoring five goals and providing one assist in his first five games. Juventus are said to be impressed with the Frenchman's form and are looking to sign him permanently once his loan spell ends.
On the other hand, Vlahovic’s future at Juventus is bleaker than ever. Once an irreplaceable pillar, Vlahovic has gradually lost confidence under coach Thiago Motta and is now just a luxury reserve player on the bench. Despite receiving an attractive offer from Saudi Arabia’s Al-Nassr Club in the last winter transfer window, Vlahovic still expressed his desire to stay in Europe to save his career.
Vlahovic's current contract with Juventus runs until 2026, but talks over an extension are currently on hold. The Old Lady are prepared to sell Vlahovic in the summer transfer window to cut the wage bill, especially as the club will have to pay the striker a net salary of €12m in 2025/26. Juventus are expected to accept offers worth around €40m.
Previously, there were rumors that Juventus wanted to exchange Vlahovic with PSG to get Kolo Muani in the last winter transfer window, but this deal did not come true. PSG themselves are not too interested in this 25-year-old star, so Juventus will have to try to find a suitable new destination for Vlahovic in the summer.
Vlahovic was linked with a move to Arsenal in January, but talks failed to progress. However, with Mikel Arteta reportedly a big admirer of the former Fiorentina man, and Arsenal in desperate need of a quality centre-forward, Vlahovic could still be on the Gunners' radar next summer.
