On November 14, My Duc district, Hanoi organized a meeting to honor and reward collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the 2023-2024 school year on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the Capital Education sector and the 42nd anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day (November 20).
Mr. Le Van Hien, Head of the Department of Education and Training of My Duc district, reported on the results achieved in the 2023-2024 school year.
Speaking on the results of educational work achieved in the 2023-2024 school year, Mr. Le Van Hien, Head of the Department of Education and Training of My Duc district, said: In the 2023-2024 school year, the education sector of My Duc district continued to implement the Resolutions of the Congress of the Party, the City and the My Duc District Party Committee.
Continuing to implement "Innovation in management and improvement of education quality", despite certain difficulties, teachers and students of the education sector of My Duc district have strived to complete the school year's tasks well, creating positive changes in all fields.

Preschools have successfully implemented the school year theme of “Building a green - safe - happy preschool”, appropriately and effectively applying advanced methods such as Montessori and Steam in preschool education, 100% of preschool facilities have built the model of “Each preschool facility is a creative space”. The quality of child care and education is increasingly improved.
Mr. Do Trung Hai, Standing Deputy Secretary of My Duc District Party Committee, presented Emulation Flags to units with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement for the 2023-2024 school year.
For primary and secondary schools, the results of eliminating illiteracy at level 2 and universalizing primary and secondary education at level 3 continued to be maintained; the quality of mass and key education has made much progress. 100% of schools focused on innovating teaching methods, organizing teaching and assessment according to the orientation of developing students' capacity. The rate of students completing the primary school program and graduating from secondary school reached 100%. The rate of students admitted to grade 10 at public high schools reached 95.5%.

The movement to foster excellent students continues to receive attention from the Department of Education, all levels and sectors. At the competition for gifted students, beautiful handwriting, and elementary school English Olympiad at the district level, a total of 1,008 students were recognized as winners.
In the excellent student exam in cultural subjects for grade 9, excellent student exam in science subjects and Olympic exam for grades 6, 7, 8, 1,352 students won district-level prizes, 69 students won city-level prizes, the total number of prizes ranked 18/30 districts, including 8 second prizes, 16 third prizes and 45 consolation prizes. 06 students won prizes in the Hanoi City Youth Scientific Research and Informatics Competition (01 second prize; 03 third prizes and 02 consolation prizes).
According to Mr. Le Van Hien, in addition to improving the quality of teaching and learning, the team of managers and teachers continues to be strengthened in both quantity and quality.
The work of fostering and improving professional qualifications and professional ethics according to new standards for staff and teachers is of interest. The IT level of many teachers is increasingly improved, many teachers not only use software to support electronic lesson plans in teaching, but also apply technology to create effective products to improve the quality of teaching.
In the 2023-2024 school year, preschool level recognized 112 excellent teachers, 28 excellent caregivers at the district level (10 first prizes, 27 second prizes, 79 third prizes, 24 consolation prizes). The Excellent Teacher Competition (GVDG) at primary and secondary schools recognized 115 teachers with GVDG with 11 first prizes, 30 second prizes, 53 third prizes and 21 consolation prizes; 11 comrades won prizes at the city level (with 07 third prizes, 04 consolation prizes)...

Also in the past school year, with the attention of the city and My Duc district, all levels and sectors have accelerated the progress of building schools that meet national standards, projects to build facilities, and provide teaching equipment for schools, basically meeting the needs of teaching and learning.
The Department of Education and Training consulted on investment in implementing 17 projects, 15.7 billion VND to purchase equipment to implement the new general education program for 19 schools; supported 4.75 billion VND for 24 schools to decorate, make minor repairs, and create landscapes to serve the construction of national standard schools (11 primary schools and 8 secondary schools), and in 2023 completed the inspection and recognition of 9 new schools (exceeding the target of 04 schools), and re-recognized 13 schools.
In addition, the People's Committee of My Duc district donated outdoor toys to 8 kindergartens with a total amount of nearly 2 billion VND from the Children's Support Fund. Up to now, the whole district has 64/79 schools meeting national standards, reaching 81%, of which 11 schools have met level 2 standards, reaching a rate of 17.2%.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Do Trung Hai, Standing Deputy Secretary of My Duc District Party Committee, commended and acknowledged the results that the district's Education Sector has achieved in the past year.

At the same time, the Standing Deputy Secretary of My Duc District Party Committee also gave timely instructions and encouragement and believed that in the coming time, with the efforts of the local government, the school and each teacher, the education career of My Duc will have many more steps forward, more sustainable, meeting the requirements of innovation and worthy of the trust of the Party Committee and the people of My Duc district.
