(Dan Tri) - Pensioners receiving pensions through accounts will receive them from the 1st of each month, while pensioners receiving pensions in cash will receive payments from the 4th of each month.

On November 5, Ho Chi Minh City Social Insurance (HCMSSI) issued a document announcing the adjustment of pension and social insurance allowance payment schedule from December 2024 onwards.

Currently, the payment time for monthly pensions and social insurance benefits in Ho Chi Minh City is implemented according to Decision No. 166/QD-BHXH dated January 31, 2019 of Vietnam Social Security (promulgating the process for settling social insurance benefits, paying social insurance and unemployment insurance benefits) and Official Dispatch No. 3830/BHXH-TCKT dated October 25, 2024 (regarding the Social Security agency transferring monthly pension and social insurance benefits via personal accounts for beneficiaries from November 2024).

Accordingly, the payment time for monthly pensions and social insurance benefits of Ho Chi Minh City Social Insurance starts from the 1st of each month for non-cash payment methods.

For cash payment, the payment period is from the 2nd to the 10th of the month at all payment points, and continues from the 11th of the month to the 25th of the month at payment points that are post office transaction points.

From December 2024 onwards, the monthly pension and social insurance allowance payment schedule in Ho Chi Minh City will be adjusted.

Specifically, for payment via personal accounts, the City Social Insurance directly transfers money into the beneficiary's account from the 1st of every month.

For cash payment, Ho Chi Minh City Post Office organizes payment at payment points from the 4th to the 10th of each month; continues to pay at the Post Offices of the Central/District Post Offices from the 11th to the 25th of each month.

In case the regular payment date as prescribed above falls on a Saturday, Sunday or holiday, the payment date is the next working day.

Ho Chi Minh City Social Insurance encourages beneficiaries to open accounts and register to receive pensions and social insurance benefits through personal accounts to avoid wasting time traveling and receive pensions quickly and conveniently.

At the same time, receiving pensions and social insurance benefits through personal accounts also contributes to effectively implementing the solution of applying the National Population Database in paying monthly pensions and social insurance benefits through non-cash payment methods according to the Government 's direction.
