Shooting is the main force Mr. Dang Ha Viet - Director of the Department of Physical Training and Sports, Head of the Vietnamese sports delegation - said that the goal of Vietnamese sports when competing in the 2024 Paris Olympics is to strive to win medals. Vietnamese sports have 16 athletes and each has the opportunity to achieve results in their event in France. However, even when being most optimistic, we understand that winning an Olympic medal is not easy. Shooting continues to be a sport that is expected to achieve high results at the 2024 Paris Olympics. The shooting team set a professional goal of two athletes Le Thi Mong Tuyen and Trinh Thu Vinh reaching the final of their shooting event at the 2024 Paris Olympics (France). However, they have been maturing significantly over time as they have been trained and competed to improve their skills. Coach Park Chung-gun affirmed that if she maintains her best spirit and focus, Trinh Thu Vinh is capable of advancing to the final of her event at the 2024 Paris Olympics. At the 2024 Paris Olympics, Vietnamese shooting will compete in three events: women's 10m air rifle (Le Thi Mong Tuyen); women's 10m air pistol, and 25m sport air pistol (Trinh Thu Vinh). That means we have three chances to compete for medals in France. The two athletes were trained in Korea in June 2024 and are now continuing their training in Hungary. Given the stressful nature of the Olympics, before going to Hungary for the final training phase, Trinh Thu Vinh affirmed that she is in a stable mentality and is fully focused towards the competition. This is the first time Trinh Thu Vinh and Le Thi Mong Tuyen have participated in an Olympics. Archery, boxing, weightlifting with high determination Expert Park Chae-soon of the Vietnamese archery team gave an analysis to the leaders of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Department of Physical Training and Sports, archer Le Quoc Phong has the potential to achieve the highest result in the men's single-string bow event at the 2024 Paris Olympics. The Vietnamese archery team is making efforts to complete professional preparation at this time in Vietnam so that Le Quoc Phong and Do Thi Anh Nguyet can confidently participate in the 2024 Paris Olympics. Historically, weightlifting is a sport with a tradition of winning medals for Vietnamese sports in the Olympic arena. This time, the Vietnamese sports delegation focused on preparing for athlete Trinh Van Vinh to compete for the highest result in the men's 61kg category. The coaching staff of the Vietnamese weightlifting team said that each tactical exercise when entering the official competition is being prepared in the best way to help the athletes achieve the weight level as prepared. Vietnamese weightlifter won a Silver Medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics (China), a Bronze Medal at the 2012 London Olympics (UK). Now, Trinh Van Vinh still has a chance to compete. On the technical board after the Olympic qualifying round, Trinh Van Vinh's best total lift result was 294kg, thereby ranking 9th. The entire 61kg men's weightlifting event has 12 athletes competing. To have a chance to enter the medal competition group, Trinh Van Vinh's total lift result must be within 300kg or higher to be eligible to compete. The last event that Vietnamese sports predicts has a chance of achieving high results is women's boxing. Two boxers Ha Thi Linh and Vo Thi Kim Anh are the first Vietnamese to go to France.Laodong.vn
