Hue expects to collect 11,200 billion VND thanks to organizing the National Tourism Year 20251

National Tourism Year - Hue 2025 is a typical cultural, economic, social and tourism event of national and international scale combined with Hue Festival 2025, associated with the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Thua Thien Hue province and responding to and welcoming Hue becoming a centrally-governed city.

Activities organized within the framework of the National Tourism Year and Hue Festival 2025 will focus on 4 main groups of programs, including: Spring Festival "Spring of the Ancient Capital", Summer Festival "Shining Imperial City", Autumn Festival "Hue in Autumn", Winter Festival "Winter of Hue" with more than 170 national and provincial events taking place mainly in Hue and many provinces and cities across the country.

Of which, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and central agencies organized 8 national-level activities, Thua Thien Hue province chaired the organization of 62 activities (including 46 activities of the National Tourism Year program and 16 activities within the framework of Hue Festival 2025).

Provinces and centrally-run cities organize 102 activities in response to National Tourism Year - Hue 2025.

With activities and events organized during the National Tourism Year and Hue Festival 2025, Hue expects to attract about 4.8 - 5 million tourists, of which international visitors account for about 38 - 40% of total visitors.

Hue City also expects that with such a number of visitors, the tourism industry will achieve revenue of about 10,800 - 11,200 billion VND (nearly equal to the total budget revenue of the entire Thua Thien Hue province in 2024).

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province, said that with a series of cultural and tourism events taking place throughout 2025, Hue city hopes that this will be a boost to help the tourism industry of the centrally-run city take off.

"By next March, the city will have a specific plan on policies and programs to stimulate and develop tourism. We hope that the unique festival programs, spanning all four seasons in 2025, will leave a strong impression, bringing more tourists and international friends to Hue," said Mr. Binh.
