Vietnam - Korea cooperation for early diagnosis of genetic diseases and cancer

Phenikaa Group signed with GC Group (Korea) to open up opportunities to access the newest, most modern and advanced technologies related to diagnosis, especially early diagnosis of genetic diseases and cancer in Vietnam.

At the same time, cooperation with the leading corporation in testing, diagnosis, screening and healthcare in Korea will contribute to improving the quality and perfecting the Phenikaa Ecosystem on Healthcare on a digital technology platform.

The two sides signed a cooperation agreement.

On July 19, at Phenikaa University, the signing ceremony of a joint venture agreement in the field of Healthcare between Phenikaa Group and Green Cross Group (GC) marked a particularly important step in international cooperation to form a comprehensive high-end Healthcare System, with special attention to modern, leading-edge specialized testing and diagnosis for medical examination and treatment services in Vietnam.

Attending the signing ceremony, on the side of Phenikaa Group, there was the participation of Associate Professor, Dr. Ho Xuan Nang, Chairman of Phenikaa Group and representatives of the leadership of Phenikaa Healthcare Ecosystem.

On the side of GC Group, there was the presence of Mr. Huh Yong Jun, General Director of GC Group; Mr. Lee Sang Gon, Chairman of Green Cross Laboratories and representatives of related units.

The focus of this joint venture agreement is the establishment of a joint venture company, in which the first phase focuses on health examination, testing, screening, and diagnosis using the latest technologies in the world .

In the current context, the number of people with cancer in our country exceeds 180,000 new cases each year, the mortality rate is 50/185 and the trend is increasing due to late stage detection of the disease (according to data from the International Agency for Research on Cancer - Globocan).

The goal of the GC-Phenikaa Joint Venture is to provide world-class services with the most modern technology in screening, diagnosing and consulting effective solutions to provide the best health care for healthy people, people at risk of disease and people who are sick.

Together with Phenikaa University Hospital, this Joint Venture will form a Center that provides customers with convenient and international quality services in screening and medical examination and treatment, not only in Vietnam but also throughout Southeast Asia.

This center is located on the campus of Phenikaa University Hospital project (scale of 800 beds, total area of 26,096m2) in Nam Tu Liem district, Hanoi , providing 2 main services including the most advanced testing, screening, and diagnostic services from Green Cross Laboratories - the best diagnostic testing agency in Korea with leading international diagnostic capabilities, with a diagnostic system performing about 95 million samples per year, 17 testing centers worldwide;

Premium health checkup service from Green Cross i-Med - a leading company in the health checkup field, currently providing comprehensive health care services to senior leaders and employees of 1,500 large companies and individual customers in Korea and internationally.

The Comprehensive Health Diagnostic Center specializing in genetics and cancer aims to become a leading unit in testing, diagnosis and high-end comprehensive health examination in Vietnam with highlights such as modern medical equipment, advanced digital solutions from GC Group - one of the leading corporations in testing, diagnosis, screening and health care in Korea.
