The 18th Ho Chi Minh City International Tourism Fair 2024 (ITE HCMC 2024), which will take place from September 5-7, 2024, with the theme "Sustainable tourism, creating the future", promises to help units operating in the tourism industry access new products and business models, to catch the 'wave' of sustainable tourism.
According to Mr. Le Truong Hien Hoa - Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism: "Vietnam is a destination with many favorable conditions for sustainable tourism development. However, many businesses in the industry are still confused about upgrading their business operations towards sustainability with international standards. Therefore, we have designed the ITE HCMC 2024 Fair to be a place to share specific lessons and effective solutions from international and Vietnamese experts to help businesses develop sustainable tourism."
One of the key tasks of ITE HCMC 2024 is to expand the international tourist market to Vietnam, increase the flow of tourists between countries to optimize tourism revenue. To carry out the above task, it is necessary to promote international cooperation in tourism between countries, through connecting trade between Vietnamese tourism businesses, tourism businesses of the lower Mekong countries with businesses of traditional markets, potential markets in the region and the world.
This year, ITE HCMC 2024 will welcome more than 220 international buyers from 45 countries and territories. The fair is expected to create more than 10,000 business meetings, providing opportunities for direct exchange and contact between international and Vietnamese tourism businesses in the form of B2B.
