More than 336,000 visitors came to Da Nang on the occasion of April 30 holiday

On the afternoon of May 1, the Da Nang Department of Tourism informed about the implementation of tourism activities in Da Nang city during the April 30 - May 1 holiday.

According to the Da Nang Department of Tourism, during the April 30-May 1 holiday this year, the work of ensuring security, safety, and serving people and tourists was well implemented. Rescue work at beaches and supporting tourists received special attention.

Tourism service businesses in the city have implemented self-inspection, ensuring service quality, complying with regulations on security, order, environmental sanitation, food safety, etc. to serve residents and tourists.

"The Department of Tourism has issued a document requesting tourism service businesses to ensure customer service during the April 30 - May 1 holiday; directing the Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and tourist beaches to ensure security, order, environmental sanitation, and safety for people and tourists during the holiday. At the same time, it is requested that the People's Committees of districts and towns deploy security, safety, rescue, and search and rescue work at tourist sites and tourist service establishments in the area, and strengthen state management of authorized tourist accommodation establishments. At the same time, the Department of Tourism has chaired and coordinated with relevant departments, branches, sectors, and units to organize a meeting to deploy security, safety, and improve the quality of customer service at tourist service establishments in the city on April 25," said the leader of the Da Nang Department of Tourism.

Da Nang beach attracts a lot of people and tourists to have fun and swim on the occasion of April 30 - May 1.

According to statistics, the total number of visitors and visitors staying in Da Nang during the holiday (5 days, from April 27 to May 1) reached more than 336,000, an increase of 11.6% over the same period in 2023. Of which, international visitors reached about 72,000, an increase of more than 2 times over the same period in 2023; domestic visitors reached about 264,000.

Total tourism revenue reached about 1,336 billion VND, up 12.7% over the same period in 2023.

The total number of flights to Da Nang during the 5-day holiday is about 563. On average, there are 112 flights to Da Nang every day, including 61 domestic flights and 51 international flights.

Notably, the number of tourists coming to Da Nang by train increased by more than 60% compared to the same period in 2023 with more than 16,000 arrivals. In addition, the number of tourists traveling by road, especially by self-sufficient means, also increased.

There was an Azamara Journey cruise ship arriving at Tien Sa port on April 28, welcomed by Saigontourist Da Nang Branch with a total of 800 guests (European, American nationalities...) (there was no cruise ship during the 2023 holiday). The number of guests participating in the Han River cruise experience reached about 20,800, an increase of 9% over the same period in 2023.

Tourists enjoy art programs at Sun World Ba Na Hills tourist area on the occasion of April 30 - May 1.

The average occupancy rate of 4-5 star and equivalent tourist accommodation establishments is 70%. The average occupancy rate of 3 star or lower tourist accommodation establishments is 45%, mostly individual guests.

Tourists focus on sightseeing and experiencing major tourist areas and destinations such as Sun World Ba Na Hills, Nui Than Tai Hot Spring Park, Asia Park, Ngu Hanh Son Scenic Relic, Mikazuki..., participating in swimming and experiencing activities at Son Tra Peninsula./.
