More than 320 athletes compete at the 4th Dong Ha City Open Cycling Race 2024 - Huda Cup

This morning, August 4, Dong Ha City, Quang Tri Province organized the 4th Dong Ha City Open Cycling Race 2024 - Huda Cup. Dong Ha City Party Secretary Le Quang Chien; Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Nam; Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Cycling - Motor Sports Federation Nguyen Chai attended.

The tournament attracted more than 320 male and female athletes from 39 cycling clubs from provinces and cities across the country. The athletes competed in 4 categories: Group I for men aged 16-39, competing at a distance of 35km; Group II for men aged 40-54, competing at a distance of 30km; Group III for men aged 55 and over, competing at a distance of 20km; Group IV for women aged 16 and over, competing at a distance of 20km.

The 4th Dong Ha City Open Cycling Race 2024 - Huda Cup is organized to create a useful playground for athletes and cycling enthusiasts to meet, exchange and compete; strengthen solidarity and mutual support among cycling clubs for mutual development.

At the same time, promote the movement of practicing and competing in sports cycling in the country in general and Dong Ha City in particular. This is also an opportunity to promote the image of the land and people of Quang Tri in general, Dong Ha City in particular to friends at home and abroad, contributing to the development of local tourism.

At the end of the tournament, the Organizing Committee awarded 4 First Prizes to athletes: Nguyen Thi Tra My (TKTK Land Da Nang Sports Cycling Club) in the women's category, athlete Trang Van Dung (Hue Cycling Sports Cycling Club) in the men's category aged 55 and over, athlete Huynh Mai Duy (Duong 9 Xanh Dong Ha Sports Cycling Club Team 1) in the men's category aged 40-54, athlete Nguyen Thanh Nhat (Duong 9 Xanh Dong Ha Sports Cycling Club) in the men's category aged 16-39; awarded prizes from Second Prize to 10th Prize to athletes in 4 competition categories.

In the team event, the Organizing Committee awarded the first prize for the female team to the TKTK Land Da Nang Sports Cycling Club; the first prize for the male team from 55 years old and above to the Hue Cycling Club; the first prize for the male team from 40-54 years old to the Duong 9 Xanh Dong Ha Team 1 Sports Cycling Club; the first prize for the male team from 16-39 years old to the Da Nang Velo Team 1 Sports Cycling Club; and the second and third prizes for the team to the Sports Cycling Clubs in the four male and female team events.
