These vaccines are provided to Vietnam by the World Health Organization and the United Nations Children's Fund to serve the expanded immunization program for children.
Previously, 72,300 doses of the 5-in-1 vaccine were also provided to 14 northern mountainous provinces from domestic funding sources to implement vaccination in August.
Thus, 63/63 provinces and cities will be provided with the 5-in-1 vaccine in August and localities will deploy DPT-VGB-Hib vaccination in routine vaccination in August and September 2023.
Previously, many localities across the country lacked many vaccines in the expanded immunization program, leading to many children missing out on vaccinations. Continuing to have vaccines for children helps children get the right doses, on schedule, and effectively prevent diseases.
Doctors recommend that children who miss a vaccination should go to the health station for instructions on subsequent vaccinations.
