These vaccines were donated to Vietnam by the World Health Organization and UNICEF to support the expanded immunization program for children.
Previously, 72,300 doses of the 5-in-1 vaccine were also supplied to 14 northern mountainous provinces from domestic funding sources to implement vaccination programs in August.
Thus, all 63 provinces and cities will receive the 5-in-1 vaccine in August, and localities will implement DPT-VGB-Hib vaccination in routine immunization programs in August and September 2023.
Previously, many localities across the country lacked vaccines in the expanded immunization program, leading to many children missing vaccinations. The continued availability of vaccines ensures that children receive all necessary doses on schedule, effectively preventing diseases.
Doctors advise that children who have missed a vaccination should go to the health center for guidance on receiving the next doses.
