Attending were Mr. Nguyen Xuan Vu - Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Quang Nam; Nguyen The Hung - Head of the Department of Rural Development.

In his opening speech, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Vu - Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Quang Nam said: After more than 7 years of implementation, the OCOP Program has had many positive impacts on the agricultural economy, arousing the potential and strengths of localities in terms of specialty products and rural industries. Gradually transforming small-scale production into production in the direction of closed value chain linkage, associated with the role of cooperatives and enterprises. Many localities have planned specialty raw material areas, developed rural industries. Especially preserving and developing many traditional craft villages...

Mr. Vu said that through this training course, OCOP subjects and OCOP Program managers at all levels will clearly understand and standardize products, and complete the application to participate in the OCOP Program in 2025.

At the training course, delegates were informed about some contents on implementing the OCOP Program such as: Building and implementing production and business plans/projects; product development; product classification assessment, product quality standards, basic standards; product quality management and food hygiene and safety; product traceability; environmental protection in the production process in 2025.

The training course takes place from April 8 to April 9, 2025.

Up to now, the whole province has 17/17 districts/towns/cities implementing the OCOP Program. 207 subjects participated with 493 OCOP products. Of which, there are 2 national 5-star products; 60 4-star products and 235 3-star products. The whole province currently has 38 OCOP points and centers. Quang Nam aims to complete and upgrade more than 200 recognized products by 2025; develop 200 new products; develop 3-4 community ecotourism villages; have at least 5 products meeting 5-star standards. Build 45 OCOP sales points, 8 district-level OCOP centers, 2 provincial-level OCOP centers, 1 regional-level OCOP center. By 2025, OCOP sales will reach over 300 billion VND, with profits of over 80 billion VND...
