The Provincial People's Committee has just issued a plan to implement a program to stabilize the market of essential goods in the province at the end of 2023 and the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin 2024.
The implementation of the market stabilization plan aims to contribute to balancing supply and demand of goods, meeting people's needs, especially essential goods; contributing to limiting the rate of price increase, curbing inflation, promoting production and business development, stimulating consumption at the end of 2023 and the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin 2024.
Accordingly, the plan to reserve essential goods for this occasion has a total value of more than 1,783 billion VND. The development and promulgation of the plan is based on the calculation of the average monthly consumption demand of about 1.9 million people in the province and the forecast of a 15% increase in consumption demand during Tet. The stabilization period is from December 1, 2023 to February 29, 2024.
The group of goods focused on price stabilization at the end of 2023 and the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin includes: food (regular rice, domestically produced fragrant rice), food (pork, poultry, poultry eggs, cooking oil, sugar, MSG and processed foods, vegetables and fruits), fuel.
Currently, 11 large enterprises have developed plans to reserve goods for Tet with about 473.7 billion VND; meeting about 26.5% of people's consumption needs in case of a shortage of goods. In addition, a large amount of goods are reserved at stores and markets in the area to serve the year-end needs, which is also a major channel to meet people's demand for goods during Tet.
